“Average tourist fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2014

As mentioned in several other reviews, this restaurant serves very average tourist fare to a majority foreign audience.

Our food, although not unpleasant, was nothing to come back for.
The fillet of market fish was small, slightly overcooked and served with a scattering of bland vegetables.
The cravates hanging everywhere (apparently it used to be a cravate shop) were a fun touch and gave it a slightly quirky atmospere.
Service was friendly.

If you want a more authentic Venetian experience head to the nearby Campo Santa Magherita and try out one of the several Osterias around the square.

“Pleasant small restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2014

Good value for Venice, with nice staff. We were a bit early (opens at 7pm) so the waiter sat us down with a complimentary Bellini. A good start! Room is quite cramped and warm, food is absolutely fine, with wine good value.

Do not look at the Tripadvisor location! This restaurant is just round the corner from Hotel Moresco, not near St Marks.

“God value for money in Venice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2014

Small but atmospheric, portion sizes good, moderate prices for Venice (we found),wine was reasonably priced and the house wine at 10 GBP per bottle was pleasing.Returned there.NB that if you are booked by the Hotel Al Sole there is 10% discount!

“So good we came back twice!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2014

Recommended by our hotel (Hotel Al Sole), who made reservations for us. By doing this we were given a 10% discount on our bill. We were not disappointed - good selection of pasta, rice, fish and meat dishes and all reasonably priced. Definitely something for everyone. Food was well cooked and well presented. Wine list short but good - recommend the house white, a local Pinot Grigio - far better quality than the average Pinot Grigio from your local UK supermarket. Friendly and welcoming staff who spoke limited English but made a great effort to assist with ordering. We visited on 3 occasions during our recent stay in Venice and were not disappointed at all.

“We ate here three times”

Nice food, friendly staff and not too expensive. Pasta, rice and fish meals were good and the house wine was fine.
