As I mentioned in the Cannaregio review, this is the main street through Cannaregio and is lined with eateries, shops and market stalls selling tourist tat.

The bars and eateries are very expensive and you will feel ripped-off if you aren't careful.

Most of the eateries have a member of staff outside on the street trying to encourage you to go in. This time we fell for the "free apperatif" and our modest order of 2 bowls of soup, bread and 2 coffees cost us £35...Beware!!

The street has a number of good resturants and gift shops. It can entertain for an evening. Our hotel was on this street so we explored it. It leads to a walk that follows the grand canal.

You really get the vibe of Venice by strolling down Lista di Spagna. Lovely shops with beautiful displays. Prices seemed cheaper than those around St Mark's Square. Lovely restaurants.

This street has a wonderful variety of restaurants covering a range of prices and either behind or right on the Grand Canal. The stores in this street are also varied and competitive compared with other areas. If you want a real cheap and delicious pizza, try the Marinara for six euros at Ginos

This is the area we always stay in when in Venice, with it's ease of getting a train or going to the cruise terminal, without having to get a taxi.
To go to the cruise terminal, use the people mover, located in plaza Roma, 1 euro each way.
