This place was recommended by our B&B owner, who told us that Venetians eat here because it has the best pizza in Venice, very thin crust means it's better for your digestion he said. He was a good man and we believed him.
We went for a late lunch, got lost looking for it and almost gave up, then found it by accident! We were glad we did. The pizzas were just lovely and inexpensive. There were a gazillion choices of topping on the menu. We had prosecco by the glass, also reasonably priced at 2.50 euros.

Surprised at the review 'americans NOT welcome.' I wonder if Americans are not welcome because their idea of pizza is very different from the Italians and the owner is tired of their misguided criticism! I don't know. All I know is they were friendly and polite towards us (UK). yes there was a tv on in the corner and all the blokes were watching motor-racing while the women folded napkins at a table. But it was all part of the laid-back atmosphere.
We could take our time, get seriously warmed up as it was freezing cold outside, and felt pretty loved up by the time we left. it's cheap and cheerful exactly what we were looking for. Don't expect the Ritz and you won't be disappointed.

Popular back-street trattoria in the quieter part of town. Bigger than it looked from the outside, and quite a lively atmosphere once you got indoors. Waiting staff were efficient and friendly. We were only given the pizza menu, but there were the usual pasta and grill options spotted at other tables. Pizzas looked huge, but the bases were actually wafer thin with crispy perimeters. Toppings were ok, but clearly little discernible flavour of supporting pizza dough. House wine by the carafe was not too bad. Desserts resided in a cold display fridge so we declined. It wasn't a very expensive night out.

It's a pizza house.....that's all!
Not the best pizza either! It was ok!
The restaurant was nearly empty but the service was poor. My wife asked for a little bread and olive oil to nibble with our wine as we waited for pizza. We were told that bread was reserved only for those ordering salads.
The service was clumsy and a little slow....they seemed distracted by the TV blaring out in the corner of the room.
The pizza when it came was huge but not very hot.
All things considered....not great.
Certainly not a 'restaurant' so ratings here are 'fogged'. I would have expected this place to score highly in 'rough guide' but not on Tripadvisor.
If you are aware of this and love pizza, it may be your thing.
It wasn't ours!

Jumped in here on a quest for pizza as the Mrs is a bit of an aficionado (she believes she has a separate stomach purely reserved for pizza).. Had a recommendation from the people whose apartment we were renting, and, while it's a bit out of the way, made the trip anyway.
Plain inside, with some locals watching ski-jumping on the tv, have to say this was a damn good, huge pizza (we shared one and were stuffed) for less than 10 euros. Had a bottle of Amarone (€37, well we were treating ourselves, there was much cheaper wine on offer) to wash it down too. And some courgette flowers (€6) deep fried (which were a touch greasy, in fairness). In either case, make a trip and go for the pizza here, you won't be disappointed...

This really is a little gem. It's off the beaten track but was well worth the walking to get to it. The pizzas are amazing and the ingredients are of high quality. The service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. If you want great pizza at reasonable prices then visit!
