We spent 5 nights in Venice and would have happily eaten here every night. The atmosphere is brilliant.....people just enjoying the great food, good wine and great company. The only problem is its too popular and hard to get a table......we managed to eat there one night and it was the best meal we had in Venice, another night we popped in for a drink....every other night it was just too busy......people where even sitting in the boats outside and on the bridge steps with there drinks just to be close to this great little eatery. Thank you for making our stay special x

We were in Italy for 2 weeks and this was the best meal of the entire trip. We had the beef, and it is obviously the house specialty here. My sister in law is still dreaming of the white beans (please send us the recipe!) and the bruschetta was to die for as well. You just cannot go wrong here.

I would recommend making a reservation. Though we did not, and only had to wait about half an hour to be seated.

This is a local place off the beaten path. It was very crowded during the locals happy hour but we found a table in the dining area and flagged down a server. I've seen other reviews about bad service but the service is what service is in Europe...what YOU make of it. The server told us about their famous steaks and they weren't wrong. Absolutely recommend this place is you want to get away for the tourist places as we always do. They speak good English, but try to use some Italian and they will soon treat you like a local too.

Probably some of the best chichetti I had in Venice, with a vibe that is second to none. My advice, come in for the nibbles, stay for the wine, don't forget a reservation for the day afterwards, and when you come in for dinner, ask for a table by the canal. With vino starting at 2 euro, nibbles at 1 euro, and dinners starting at 15 euro, you will absolutely not be disappointed with this place!

We stayed nearby and had read some good reviews so decided to seek it out. Looked fantastic when we found it on our last evening. Lovely location with lots of people inside and outside the bar. Lots of atmosphere and lively without being overly noisy and uncomfortable. We found a table inside and ordered our drinks and food from the bar. Could not find any menus as would have liked to have ordered a proper meal. However the cicchetti looked wonderful and I ordered a plate of 10 mixed (did not know what most of them were so let the staff member choose) a glass of red wine and a little of water €15 total. Not bad as the food was delicious and so was the wine. We sat down for around 30 minutes and were just about to order more and another drink when a male member of staff asked us to move as someone had reserved the table!! We had been joined by another couple at the table who had just finished eating their food when we were told to move so as there was nowhere else to sit we all rather reluctantly left. Shame as we were really enjoying our last evening up until then and decided to return to the hotel as did not feel like walking around to find somewhere else. Not the best service I have ever had and not made to feel welcome. They were very busy and it was reflected in the service. We did not mind a long wait to be served but I did mind being told to move to make way for someone else at the table.
