“Touristy but nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

We had the best proscuitto and melon of the trip here. We also liked the pastas (one with mushrooms and one bolognese. Chocolate cake was good. Their specialty was pizza but we had pizza for lunch that day so we opted for pasta. It seemed like a good place for families and groups.

“Very busy”

Very nice little restaurant. Busy though. We had to wait about 15mins before we got a seat. Really nice food here.

“Not as good as previous visits”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

This was my 5th visit to this restaurant. It was originally recommended by my hotel in Venice. This time the food was not as good. The pizzas are quite tasty, and I would still return for that type of meal. The pastas were just OK. The wait staff seemed to hurry us along. I was a bit disappointed but after 4 other successful visits I would try them again, especially for pizza.

“Went back twice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. We arrived (after a bit of wandering!) and were seated easily without a reservation. The staff was friendly and attentive. They offered an extensive wine list and bread with very good olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

My husband said his lasagna was the best he's ever had (beats mine he said only because I don't make pasta). I chose chicken and salad. The chicken was also the best I have ever had! Moist, flavorful, juicy!

We loved it so much we went back on Saturday night. Our hotel called for a reservation and we recommend that, especially for a weekend.

This restaurant is not on the "cruise ship" pathway. We stayed near Sucola Grande di San Rocco and walked there in less than 20 minutes.

“Great place to eat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

This was on our list of recommended restaurants in Venice and came across it by accident as we wandered from our hotel to the Grand Canal. Excellent food and service. The pasta was very good, especially the Tagliatelle "Vecio Pozzo" with mushrooms, bacon and rosemary. It pleased all the senses!
