vActually - selfishly - I wouldn't want too many people to know about this in case I don't find a table if and when I ever go to Venezia again. Quite tiny; warm and cozy, off the beaten track. They treat you as if you are Venetian. We had a GREAT meal - we ordered various dishes (starters and main courses) and shared amongst three - we argued who had the best. Recommended unhesitatingly!

Picked this place based on rave TA reviews and really wanted to like it... but unfortunately the food just wasn't great. We had two different seafood pastas as mains and both were below average and not worth the price paid. The house red wine was nice and the waitress was kind, but without good food we can't give this place a good review.

A good surprise. Very nice staff and honest even for the tourists. Very friendly. The food was good. The local is very nice quite old but very nice.

In Venezia especial on the carnival season it is difficult to find a calm and nice restaurant, and this was found by luck. Very good and calm atmosphere.

We have eaten here every time we have visited Venice over the last few years and have always enjoyed it immensely. Food is very good with a nice variety of traditional Venetian dishes (including good fresh fish and risotto) prepared very well. (They also serve good chiciti at the bar). All the dishes arrive at the table very freshly prepared. House wine, including prosecco, is good. Prices are very reasonable given the large size of portions and quality of the food. If you just want a light lunch the starters are very adequate. Service is friendly and the staff are really helpful in translating the menu and explaining dishes. The ambience is very cosy with dark wood tables. It is always busy and popular with a lot of local customers. We have always managed to get a table without booking at lunchtime (we are only a couple) - but given its popularity would advise booking if you know that you will definitely be in the area or are a larger group. Highly recommended.

On a previous trip, it took us an hour to find this place and when we arrived, it was preparing to close but they took us in. This time, it took us an hour to fine it again but definitely worth the trek.
The staff do their best to understand our questions and are welcoming. We had their special, spaghetti with mussels and clams and lasagna and a liter of their house red wine. Everything was excellent and I have to say, their house wine was better than many bottles of wine we had in Venice. We liked it so much that we went back again before we left. This was our best meals in Venice!!
