This place looks lovely from the outside, which is why we decided to stop for lunch. It was only half-full for Saturday lunch so we had no problems with finding a table.

Despite having a lot of wait-staff working, the service was very slow and and the staff were rude. The couple sitting at the table next to us walked out after the waiter shouted at them for asking for the menu. We saw another table of people leave before ordering because of the rude service they received as well. The added 12% service charge to the bill is laughable as the service is just terrible.

My husband's pizza was OK, but not as good as you expect to find in Italy. My dish was swimming in oil and I did not eat it. I also ordered a hot chocolate, which I did not finish as it was full of cornflour blobs (or whatever they had used to thicken it). It was a very bad experience.

I have traveled to Venice several times and understand that a lot of the cafes and restaurants are tourist traps selling average quality food, but this place was exceptionally bad.

Lovely looking restaurant good friendly staff. We decided on this restaurant as we were walking around trying to find somewhere and it was heaving so assumed it must be ok as there were a lot of locals in there. The food was not bad tasty very fresh although our mains could have been a little bigger. It was well priced and in general a nice cosy place. The only downside for us was we sat by the back door which when it opened it was very cold and a little uncomfortable.

This place seems like it could be good.... Of the 4 dishes we ordered 2 were very good and 2 were very average..... Service similar - at the beginning of our meal we had a great waiter and the service was quick. However byt the end of our meal he had disappeared and we had difficulty finding someone to bring the bill so we could pay and leave.
Might return for ciccetti but probably not for a meal

Excellent place for a Quick Spritz and snacks. Located on a small Square just off San Marco. Surprisingly good snacks, Indifferent Service. Not bad Pasta either. Locals stop in for a drink after work and you should too if you are in the neighborhood.

Our family was here Oct 16th. We were taking a break from sightseeing and ran into this restaurant. They had outdoor tables and were just starting to serve lunch. We all had a pasta dish. Service was slow. We weren't in a big rush but the 2 year old in our group got restless. The food was fine but the waiter wasn't attentive. No one was unfriendly or rude but we thought the service could have been better. Lunch for 4 (3 adults and a 2 year old) was 69.22 euro.

Not everyone here speaks or understands english so bring your phrase book. A patron at the next table did not get what she says she ordered and there was a little exchange between her and the waiter involving lots of pointing at the menu, the waiter insisting she got what she ordered and her saying she didn't. Our takeaway - If you can't just point to your selection on the menu, you just need to be prepared for the possibility of a misunderstanding.
