We stumbled across this place on our way to the Rialto market around noon and the whole square was packed full of people enjoying drinks and mini sandwiches, so we decided to stop and see what made this place so popular. I ordered a spritz for 2,00 and thus my addiction began! After here, I'd tried the drink at many other bars in Venice and Rome and none came close to how tasty this one was. I have been since obsessed with perfecting the ratio in my own recipe.
The gorgonzola & speck sandwich was probably the best, but many were tasty. It was a wonderful little break to walk around the square and enjoy refreshment on a sunny afternoon.

Nice local place, for local wine and local food. Genuine place to share a quick snack with a glass of wine. Try it and enjoy

We had a late finger lunch or early dinner. They serve a small sandwiches with prshuto and mozzarela for just 1,50?. There is also a vegi option. Go for a glass of wine! Not expensive, from 2,00? up to 3,50?. Very friendly, Italian waiters. We recommend for short break to fresh up before you continue your explore!

Bulk up with breakfast at this hole-in-the-wall joint near the fish market on Campo Cesare Battisti, San Polo. The guys make pillow-puffy cappuccinos and butterlicious croissants. Savour the scene, too: ruddy-cheeked market traders, suited-and-booted lawyers from the nearby financial courts and stroller-pushing mums mill about in the square, sipping espressi (and the odd vino rosso soaked up with a spicy meatball).

This is a great little place to stop and have a glass of wine, beer or glass of prosecco. I have been to Venice many times and always make a point of stopping here for a refreshment break and to sample the delicate sandwiches which are a pefect accompaniment (even if you are not hungry). A great place to people watch and feel like a local. Wonderful atmosphere and a place to put on your itinary.
