This hotel wasted my time and money. the manager was very rude and everything was over priced not to mention the room was not exactly clean. I am also not happy with the way the manger speaks to his customers. he is just really vial. I also saw some insects in the room but at that point i stopped caring as it ruined my Venice trip. The breakfast was far too expensive and the bread you get wont even fill a 5 year old and you pay approx 10 pounds per a head.

It's very interesting to read the only 3 reviews you wrote: 1) Anjuna: Nah Not worth it; 2) Sands of Glenfield: Dont Bother; 3) Avogaria Locanda: Dont Bother ... How unlucky you are.

Down a quiet street, off a pretty canal and within easy walking distance to all the important tourist stops. Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere but achieved with style. Jasmine covered venetian stone courtyards, slick stainless steel and old crystal glass all mix effortlessly. The very essence of 21st century Venice. Eat in the restaurant, the food was the best we had in Venice. Delicious, well presented but unfussy, fresh and delicious..... Just don't tell everybody.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with any of the rooms here.

My family of three had a great time at Avogaria last summer! The room was very nice, but the absolutely best detail is the courtyard! For a family with a small child it was wonderful being able to sit outside in the nice Venice summer after the child had gone to bed. (There is no view form the courtyard, but they have managed to make it rather nice.)

The service was also very good. We did not make use of the restaurant, so that I cannot comment on. It is somewhat pricey (but very good I'm sure), so we found some great family/children-friendly places nearby.

Getting there from the bus-station can be quite the journey with a lot of luggage, so that is perhaps the biggest negative. The location is great as a base for walking around Venice, though. (But not if your main interest is the main shopping street.)

Overall a great hotel we'd consider visiting again!

This hotel/restaurant was nicely tucked away. It was still very easy to travel around on the vaperetto with saint marks sq only a couple of stops away.

The staff were lovely and there were no disturbances at all. Wish we had eaten in the restaurant as it had a lovely atmosphere and the food looked gorgeous

A peaceful and quiet, small b and b with a restaurant. A great location from which to explore beautiful Venice. It's in a lovely neighborhood and I always enjoyed walking back there. The room was comfortable and well laid out, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy with a great shower. I appreciated the helpfulness of the owners and staff.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were generally very pleased with the standard of accomadation and service. We had room Uno which is the one without a private garden. It was a reasonable size, very clean and was decorated in contemporary style and also had a nice double shower room.

While being away from the main busy areas it is within reasonable walking distance or a trip on the water bus which is just around the corner.

Breakfast was a little expensive but was pleasant and plenty of food for us. It was worth paying 20 euros each per day just so we didn't have to spend time looking for somewere else! We had fruit, yoghurt, croissants, bread and jams, bacon and scrambled eggs, coffee/tea and juice. We enjoyed this in a small court yard garden which was a very nice setting.

On the day we left we had to check out at 11am and our flight was not until 11.35pm. The waitress kindly offered that we could leave our bags (albeit outside the room) at no extra charge, which was really handy as I did not want to lug it round all day.

We would definitely recommend staying here!
