A nice B&B in the heart of Treviso, we travelled with our children and it was a very nice place to be staying. We had the apartment in the roof which it was very nice and clean. Bathroom includes a shower (only a pity that it has a curtain and not a cubicle - but it was still good) and a washing machine dryer, very good for the children clothes. A nice kitchen and lounge (this last can be used as a another bedroom) Car can be parked in the street opposite the hotel for a small charge at the meters. We will return.

Visiting Venice and Europe for the first time was a dream come true!
We would recommend visiting Venice by train, easily accessed.
As we had rented car we were able to use Locanda San Tomasco location for
some day trips, including the going to the beginning of the 'Dramatic Dolimites'.
And then to have our wonderful B & B to return to in the evening was a treat.
The rooms were wonderful; comfy, clean and beautifully decorated.
Hospitality was supreme! I absolutely agree with 'travinhappy'
The breakfasts were amazing, and with the best coffee (of your choice and made to order)
and best eggs that we experienced during of Italy trip.

We found this B&B quite by accident, when we were looking for something close to the Venice airport for a return trip. We selected it based on the photos on the site for B&Bs in the area. It was far more charming than we imagined, and very convenient.

Personal touches abound in this multi-leved building. It's as if they've successfully combined vintage bookstores, curio shops and contemporary basic furniture, turning the rooms and walkways into a very warm and friendly atmosphere. There's lots to keep a traveler or curious person occupied. Many interesting old books are nicely arranged in corners, and plenty of lights to make for some intimate reading spots. The breakfast room was really wonderful. In the morning little candles were lit, suggesting a special celebration. The breakfast was generous and set out for many different nationalities.

Because we'd not planned on visiting Treviso, we were also pleasantly surprised at the beautiful little city, full of immaculate shops and atmospheric lighting in the evening. The walls of the city surround the old medieval town, full of interesting uses of water ways and a gigantic waterwheel, obviously restored. The town had a harmonious feel, with many people on the street enjoying the weather, the places for socializing. A good system of one-way streets makes driving obvious and not too difficult. The parking is, however, very specific to the city. At the B&B, the owner explained how we must pay at the meter on the block (like the Muni meters in NYC). However, you'll need to put the printed number of the parking place on the street into the meter as you pay. It's free after 8pm, and okay until 8:30 AM.

If we go back to the area, it will be a return. Very charming.

We stayed here with friends. Rooms beautifully cool and spotless. Breakfasts on the terrace were a perfect way to start the day. Excellent hospitality and nothing was too much trouble - so very accomodating. We will very definitely make Locanda "THE" place to stay for us in Treviso.

This was by far the most charming B&B we enjoyed in Italy. The bedrooms are lovely. My daughters and I didn't want to leave! Martina helped us by researching Treviso for Gluten-free foods where my daughter and I were able to replenish our supplies for the trip. The breakfast was fresh, amazing eggs and the best coffee! We were looking for a small Italian town experience and didn't want to stay in the midst of all the Venice traffic. Our teenagers enjoyed walking around the town of Treviso. It was the perfect escape and Venice was a simple train ride (~20min). They had departures almost every 20min. We didn't get to enjoy the restuarant at Locanda San Tomaso for dinner, but we did enjoy drinks at the lively local bar across the street. The pub right below was festive but crowded. Treviso is a delightful town, surrounded by an old moat, several pedestrian only cross bridges can be found like the one next to LoCanda ST. There is top of the line shopping for clothing, art, etc and wonderful places to eat. We didnt' get to stay there long enough to explore all the resturants. There is a great Gelato spot just across the street from the B&B...large servings too!!!! I'd like to return to this area, and this B&B for the wine tasting day trips! Children excluded of course. Taxi from train is a must. The walk to the B&B is only 10min, not bad, but pulling suitcases would have been the pits.

Room Tip: Email Martina directly. She's great to work with!

We stayed here for 2 nights on our Italian honeymoon.
The family were lovely, and very helpful. The rooms are all spotless, and decorated in a very pleasant (but chintzy) way.
Breakfast is outside on the terrace, with lovely views over the town and walls. Highly recommended, and terrifc value.
