“Driver friendly quality”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

Hotel Saggitario is a welcome solution for anyone who has struggled with the bewildering traffic and frustrating hotel situation of the otherwise wonderful city of Padova. Free parking, free Internet, modern and well designed rooms, and the adjacency and almost unheard of guest discount at Dotto I'd Campagna, one of the best restaurants in the area, make this a top choice for touring vacationers. The location in
Pointe di Brenta is by no means central to historic Padova, the market, and the Prato, but they are all accessible if you trust your GPS and time your driving smartly.
And, you are that much closer to Stra, Villa Pisani, the Brenta, and minutes from roads that will take you in every direction from Venice to Treviso to Asolo to Verona and back in the same day if you wish. The restaurant "Dotto" is a local favorite of long standing and is not tourist-ridden. And the nearby Bocadoro is, some would contend, even better.
Rooms at Saggitario are comfortable, up to date, well lighted and smartly designed for efficient use of adequate but not overly generous space. The included breakfast is fine, but not something you'll write home about. Overall, if you are in a touring mode and want to enjoy Padova and it's environs, this is an appealing solution, and if you're touring priorities include eating well, you're definitely in the right neighborhood.

Very good hotel, accomodation, parking and friendly staff. This is our hotel during the "Auto & Moto d'Epoca" in the fiera di Padova since more than 10 years !
A must go is certainly their ristorante "Dotto di Campagna" , every year is this for us a complete delight. Staff is very competent and happy to see us once a year.
Top !

Sagittario was cheaper than most of the hotels in Padua, but we found a gem! Situated on the outskirts of the city, in a residential road, a 10 minute bus ride into the centre. Hotel is undergoing some extension & renovation but it didnt impact on our stay. Extremely helpful and considerate reception team for whom nothing was too much trouble. Room was large double, good standard of furniture and new bed - all very clean and comfortable. Great shower! Buffet breakfast was fine but the dining room & lounge is a bit tired and is part of the renovation project. Small bar with no red wine!! In Italy! But the manager bought some wine especially for us. There is a very good restaurant which is part of the hotel but a few yards down the road, closed though on Sunday and Monday. We were directed to another pizzeria/restaurant which was excellent, again a few steps from the hotel. I was worried about travelling into Padua but again reception came up with bus tickets/timetables and umbrella as it was tipping down with rain. The 22 bus goes right through the town centre, and runs frequently Mon-Fri. Tickets were £1.20 each way and last for 75 minutes. Most of the other guests came by car as its near to the motorway exit. We would stay here again if we were in the area. Took the train up to Vincenza & that was a beautiful place, also recommend a trip to Treviso if you are heading back to Canova airport there .. another gem!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Padua (Padova) Italy. We took the train from Padova into Venice for two days and it took about 40 minutes each way from the central train station in Padova. It is possible to take buses from the hotel to the city center; there are buses that run right down the road from the hotel. This hotel was very quiet and had a nice home like feel to it. The hotel room was VERY clean and the floors shined. The breakfast in the morning was also very good with a variety of foods to eat each morning as well as juices. There is also a coffee bar in the morning where they will make a coffee drinks to order. I would definitely stay here again!!
