We were bumped from our first choice, the M14, and sent to the Milano. The reception when we arrived was best described as distant, or aloof, yet the hotel hardly merited that attitude from the reception staff.
The rooms were clean, breakfast was from a wide range of the usual Italian cakes, meats, cheeses and fruits.
Different staff at reception on our departure were much more pleasant than those on arrival. So maybe it was pot luck.
I couldn't find much wrong with this hotel. The fixtures and fittings are clean, modern and functional. Staff were helpful. Parking was convenient. My only slight criticism was that the breakfast could be more substantial but overall value was good.
I can't really comment on the location relative to the city centre, bars and restaurants because we were only used the hotel as a stopover from Marco Polo airport, but there is a lively and friendly bar just 5 minutes walk down the road called KK.
Spacious rooms, professionally friendly staff. It is clean and generally nice, comfortable bed. Breakfast is good as Italian breakfast, but not much choice for foreigners, in fact I would expect more choices from 4 stars hotel. Parking space just around corner. It is reasonably close to the old city centre, about 10 minutes walk. Internet access is free but WiFi signal is too weak in many places (including our room). We didn't spend much time in the room, but generally I would recommend it, especially if you'll get good price.
The hotel's place is easy to find, with navigation you can have small problems like everywhere in Italy. The hotel is old style, close to the center. But from the reception till kitchen none of the staff was friendly. There was a group having breakfast before was so the dining hall was like a warground. Nearly nothing to eat, noone caring, when I asked for two seperate bills it was as if I wanted the reception to do the mission impossible. Thus, I wouldn't recommend it.
Hotel is prefectly located, just 10 minutes walk from city center (we traveled by car), the room an iterior is not very cozy, more suitablle for business ocasion, than for family or copule travellers, but clean an new. Staff is not really friendly, but very helpfull. For the full price quite dissapointed, but for last minute booking €55 per nigt very good choice.
The rooms are decorated in prison grey and the breakfast costs extra and cannot compare with breakfasts in Germany and Austria. While the staff is not rude, they are certainly not warm and welcoming. The room is adequate.
