“Amazing open air market on Saturdays”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

Spectacular piazza. The biggest square in Europe. It comes alive every day and it is absolutely worth seeing. If you visit this square on a Saturday, you'll find a huge open air market where you'll find reasonably priced items of any type.

“Delightful park area”
Reviewed June 12, 2014 via mobile

As a previous reviewer said, not necessarily a destination in itself (unless for the week end markets I have read about). However, we visited the amazing Basilica Antonio (not to be missed) and it was a short walk to this beautiful parkland. It is certainly an amazing space for a leisurely stroll or relaxation. We were not there for the weekend but can imagine it as a great space for the weekend markets. It is a perfect balance for the cultural sites and historic old town. I could say that it surprised us but so much in Padova was a pleasant surprise.

“A must see in Padua”
Reviewed May 27, 2014 via mobile

As the largest square in europe, it's a must see. On market days it's pretty crowded, but during nighttime it's absolutely lovely

“the best place ever”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

Not enough people know that in Padua there is one of the biggest squares in Europe and most certainly the most beautiful! It isa 90,000 square meter elliptical square, it host concert and events during the summer and markets during the weekend and an antique one every third sunday of the month. Build in late 1700, it surrounded by a canal and statue of important people at the time. It is ideal to chill and enjoy the sun on a warm day and is very suggestive when cover in snow or with autumn's colors.

“Nice for a stroll (or a Segway race)”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

I walked through this huge square many times. It's nice for a stroll but not a destination, I think. The most fun was when my Segway tour came through and we raced around the oval a few times. But don't worry, we didn't come close to running over anyone - too much space (and the speed on the Segway's is capped).
