A beautiful baptistry and you can stay as long as you like (even take some photo's). I enjoyed this very much. Lovely frescoes.

Artistically worth visiting and well worth the admission fee. Frescos in good condition or being restored

“Well worth a visit. Don't miss it.”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Next to the Duomo, which is not very spectacular, the Baptistry is impressively decorated with paintings by Giusto de Menaboi (12th century). It is undoubtedly a matter of taste, but some people feel this place is "even more beautiful than the Scrovegni Chapel" and certainly more accessible to visit, and the ban on photography is not taken too seriously either, which allows one to bring home a few pictures to make the pleasure last longer. The frescoes are clear and colourful and extremely well preserved.

“Under a massive restoration”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Unfortunately during our visit, the Baptistry is ( and I guess, will be for at least other 2 years ) under a massive restoration so we did not have the chance to admire it in its complete beauty.
I was at least happy that the main thing I wanted to see was not covered by scaffolding or similar stuff. The last judgement painted in the Baptistry has a particular detail. The "beast" has a papal tiara in every head and as far as I know this may be the only thematic painting with that detail. Interesting.

“Interesting”

Small but quite interesting place to see, some very interesting paintings, with original visual effects. If you are in Padua then worth to see.
