“The find of our Italian trip”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

Belludi 37 really was 'the find' of our recent stay in the Veneto. The room was elegant, very comfortable with added extra little touches - for example, bottled water was replaced in the mini bar on a daily basis, free of charge. The owners and all the staff were delightful - welcoming, courteous and very, very helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant.
When there was a break in the water supply as a result of a burst pipe in one of the rooms, a bottle of wine was left in our room with a touching note of apology - not necessary, but indicative how important the customer experience is to them.
It is so close to many of the 'must see' places and there are some excellent, reasonably priced restaurants close to hand.
Thank you everyone for a memorable stay.Oh....Padua is wonderful!

My wife and I visited this hotel during our anniversary trip to Italy in September-October. Fantastic experience from check-in to check-out. They offered coffee or a drink during check-in, gave us plenty of advice on local restaurants, and kindly upgraded us to a wonderful room with a great view of the cathedral. It was brilliant to open up all the windows and sit at the table and just enjoy some down time in the room. In room coffee maker, and mini-fridge with complimentary drinks. Breakfast was wonderful. The hotel was also very considerate and provided us a nice bottle of Prosecco to mark our anniversary. Great location to the nice sights in this quaint town. Perfect stay!

Used Trip Advisor to find this gem. Great location next to St. Anthony's Cathedral, good price, and very helpful staff. When I asked about a festival in town, they researched it for me online. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. A break in the plumbing in the middle of the night left the hotel without water for about 7 hours. The owner showed up to apologize and gave us a discount and wanted to give me a bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience. It was easy to take a taxi from the train station to get to the hotel (8.5 Euros) and it was easy to take a taxi to the bus station to go to Marco Polo airport in Venice. Padua was a surprising 3,000 year old town full of interesting sites, architecture, and history. It is not a museum piece for tourists, but a lively town full of people enjoying a great urban experience. The people watching in the squares and streets that were dedicated to people, dogs, and bikes without cars and motorcycles was wonderful. Our favorite plazas near City Hall were a ten to fifteen walk, which we needed to help burn off the calories we consumed.

Room Tip: No elevators...we liked the "100" series of rooms to limit the number of steps (about 20...

Recently stayed three nights at Hotel Belludi based on Trip Advisor ratings. My wife and I were truly impressed with the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. They went out of their way from check in to check out to make our stay enjoyable, productive, and comfortable. The rooms are of good size and have nice modern furniture. The bathrooms are also well appointed. My only complaint is our room (number 106) was a bit on the dark side. They could improve the lighting in this particular room, but not a big deal. The free, included breakfast is among the best we have had in Europe. The food was fresh, the cook prepared the eggs to our request, the coffee, juices, etc were of high quality. In particular, the offer included a great selection of fresh fruit and pastries.

Hats off to the wonderful staff at Hotel Belludi...we will return :-)

What I liked: lovely staff, near the basilica, easy walk from the tram stop. However - it is far from the main action in town, and although the 15 minutes walk isn't really a big deal, it becomes a bit of a drag when you have to think twice about bopping back to the hotel. the room was clean, but dark as a cave. one strong floor lamp would have made a huge difference - I would probably pick something closer to the town center if you're only staying a day. if you like a quieter location, this is a great spot - but remember: no lift. they'll carry your bags for you though

We arrived after travelling all night from Canada so were a bit worn. It was so nice to get the warmest welcome we have ever received in any hotel, anywhere. They sent up cappuccinos and croissants to the room which was much appreciated. On the house. The room was comfortable and had a view right down the street to Basilica San Antonio. The shower is cruise-ship sized but we are used to that. On the ground floor is only a very small reception area. You could so easily pass the entrance on the street and indeed we did a couple of times. It is whatever is the opposite of 'imposing', it's not like pulling up to the airport Sheraton. All the rooms are up one or two stairs, no elevator. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and all good. You will probably get talking to your fellow guests. Reception staff are very helpful and will enthusiastically offer all kinds of advice on Padova. We love this town, it was just what we were looking for. Narrow cobble-stone streets, the locals actually live here, very historic, open air markets and not too touristy. We have discovered 'spritz'. Try it. Sit at an open air café and pretend to be a student once again, even if you are retired. Perfect!
