“Wonderful Brazilian Churrascaria!”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Three of us enjoyed a wonderful evening at Bomboi in Padova. The restaurant is a little hidden, close to the trade fair buildings and next to the NH hotel. It is worth hunting down if you're looking for a good churrascaria. The local is warmly decorated, well illuminated and presents an atmosphere of actually being somewhere in Brazil. Even the background music was Brazilian, adding to the overall experience.

The waiters were, from what I could tell, mostly Brazilians as they spoke with native accents. They provided attentive service throughout the meal and they were helpful in explaining what type of meat they were serving you.

As typical in a churrascaria, you pay a set price for your appetizers and main meal. There was a wide selection of both warm and cold appetizers, which you help yourself to at a buffet table. Caution, it is tempting to over indulge on the appetizers, stealing your appetite for all the meat to follow!

The waiters continuously circulate the dining room with skewers of various types of scrumptious meats (chicken, pork and beef), all perfectly cooked and flavored only as the Brazilian know how. Eat as much as you like. The meal ends with sliced sweet pineapple, also cooked on skewers.

I found the prices to be very reasonable compared to other churrascaria's I've frequented in Italy. The set fee was close to 30 euro per person and drinks and the wine selection was also reasonably priced. If you are looking for something different from Italian cuisine, I recommend Bomboi!

“A bit of Brazil in Italy!”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

What a great place! The young Brazilian gentleman owner is accommodating and gracious. On a Monday night, this place was busy (sign that it has a loyal following). The food and cocktails are good and they even have some Brazilian wines. The salad bar incorporates some Italian tastes which is nice as the Italians do a much better salad. Though the meats are all Brazilian Churrascaria. The best.

Would definitely recommend.

“Never ever again!”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

So bad, just so bad.
The manager or the brazilian guy behind the bar is such an unfriendly and rude guy, that the best to do is to leave the beef in your plate and go home. Another wise, you may get indigestion. There is nothing worst, that to be treated like a peace of beef, while eating. Forget this place.

“Otimo!”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

Rodizio type restaurant where you can eat all you want for <20 euros. Brazilian flavor at its best with a great selection of meats. Caipirinhas that'll shake your body samba style and a great selection of wines! Busy place all week. Loved It!

“Brasilian style churrascaria”
Reviewed June 26, 2011

This restaurant is a Brasilian style churrascaria, i.e. steakhouse. You chose from a buffet of hot and cold side dishes then waiters bring skewers of grilled beef, pork, chicken, and sausage to your table. It is a flat 28 euro for all you can eat, beverages not included. The meats were all tender and well prepared, the side dishes adequate, with a good selection of wines and mixed drinks. This is not haute cuisine but the dinner was very enjoyable and offered a change from the traditional Italian menu. The restaurant itself is quite elegant with a nice outdoor seating area. The location is in a recently renewed part of Padova of little charm next to the exhibition center.
