PadovaResidence Arancio was the best apartment we stayed in in Italy. We had been to Padova on a quick visit before, and wanted to stay longer this time to see as much as possible of this lovely city. The location was perfect and the place has everything the traveller needs to be comfortable. Quite close to the fast tramway, which made it easy to get from the railway station to the area the apartment is in. Sara, Isabella & Francesco's daughter, made us feel very welcome, and gave lots of important information, e.g. where to buy food, etc. The daily market is just up the street, and you can walk to all the historic sites that make this such an interesting place. We would certainly stay here again, and will recommend Padova as a very interesting destination to friends.

Ai Talenti is a very short walk out of the old town and across the river in Padova. It is in a quiet spot with transport and shops close by and of course the centre of Padova is 5 mins away. We were made to feel very welcome in this apartment which was very well equiped. Padova is the least tourist stricken city that we have visited and was beguilling to the point of demanding return visits. The owners provided some really helpful hints on great places to eat (which we tested exhaustively).

Isabella and Francesco are wonderful hosts. The location is optimal. The apartment is comfortable and fairly priced. We have been in Padua for a week and are very glad we discovered this place. We would happily return to this lovely city and stay here

We just returned home after spending a week in apartment Verde. The apartment is in an absolutely perfect location just beyond the market squares. Everything you might need has been supplied including a washer. The host family were very gracious and went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. My husband and I took a cooking class with Isabella and her daughter Sara. We not only had a fun afternoon but our meal upon completion was one of the best we had.

We are a family group, 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. We stayed in the apartment Ca Bimba for a week in August 2013. The location of the apartment couldn't be better, right on one of the main squares and close to restaurants and public transport connections. The apartment was clean, quiet and well kitted out.

It is a great location from which to visit Venice as the train takes only 30 minutes and they are very cheap - just a few euros.

Francesco met us from the airport on arrival and brought us back to the apartment where Isabella was waiting to welcome us. She speaks good English (we speak no Italian) and she spent some time explaining the apartment and the things to see in the area.

Generally we were very happy with our visit but there are a couple of things we felt we needed to mention in the review

Air Conditioning:

The cost of air conditioning is not included in the apartment and so we were told we would be charged at the end of the holiday for the water and electricity used by the air conditioning units (there are 4 in total, 2 in the lounge and one in each bedroom). Isabella said this would just be a small charge and she recorded the meter readings (which we didn't check). We used the air conditioning only at night in the two bedrooms for 6 nights as we spent one in Venice. We didn't use it in the lounge as the area was too big for the units to make an impression. On leaving Isabella asked us for 150 Euros for the weeks air conditioning. When we protested this was reduced to 100 Euros. I can only think there was a calculation error but just be aware that there may be considerable extra cost.

Wifi
The wifi listed in the advert does not belong to the apartment it is from the town hall across the square and so only works by the windows onto the square - and better with the windows open. The signal strength is not good and so it can't be used for skype or streaming and you have to be patient when pages are loading!

DVD player
There is one in the listing above but not in the apartment - not a problem for us but worth noting.

Dear Guests, We are sorry you had not be able to fully enjoy your stay…and that you didn’t know that Air Conditioning is not included in the weekly price. It is clearly written in all the sites where we advertise our properties: “Air Conditioning is upon consumption”. As regard to your stay in Padova, you spent your holiday right in the hottest period of this summer 2013 when the temperature in the city was around 40 ° C! August is notoriously the worst month of the year in Italy, but this year, from the last week of July until half of August, all Italians have been complained about that tropical heat. In the past years we had many guests came in July or August, and nobody complained about the costs of air conditioning. And yes, nobody paid so much as you. In fact if you remember, I was the first person surprise and I checked twice the counter! Then I kindly reduced the amount at Euro 100,00 as you paid. No errors of calculations ( I checked again on your departure) but really you used a lot of electricity and water, perhaps because the outside exceptional high temperature ... Both the counters (meter readings) are located into the apartment right under the boiler, so you could check anytime what you were using. As to the Wifi, it usually works well from the living room and nobody said us that the signal is weak. As to the DVD, we removed it since the previous people used it badly and we had to repaired it. We forgot to install it again on your arrival, but you could ask and we would have been more than happy to replace it! In any case thanks for letting us know, we will try to do our best in the future..

Our stay in Paova was wonderful and we felt at home in this lovely comfortable apartment right in the center of the historic area. Everything was perfect and it was a superb base for exploring this part of Italy. Since the apartment is steps away from an amazing market my husband cooked some meals and we could meet friends easily for drinks and dinner or make our way to the train.

Appartamento Isabella, Padova, ranks as one of the nicest of the many apartments my wife and I have stayed in in Italy. It may be best for a couple, although the welcoming and kind owner is able to produce a third bed, if required.

The main living/bedroom is large and with good storage space. The apartment has an excellent city-centre location, is very close to markets, shops and most of Padova's many places of interest.

The apartment is comfortable, clean and well-equipped. We liked Isabella's paintings on the walls. There is air-conditioning, although we chose not to use it.

We are pleased to give this apartment a strong recommendation.
