Covered area directly outside the restaurant overlooking the park, food was good, however the portions were huge. Worth visiting

“Rude staff. Mediocre food.”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

My husband and I ate here with another friend couple of ours last week. We sat outside with a nice view of Prato. While the location is great, our experience was quite poor. The staff were abrasive, curt, and rude--something we have yet to experience when eating out in Padova. We ordered an appetizer to share, and each individual main course dishes. I ordered the polenta dish which did not arrive with the other entrees. When I asked the waiter if my dish was coming, he said it was not his fault, he did not know they had polenta on the menu, and that he did not order it... Very strange response, especially when I clearly ordered it and it is on the menu. The food was good, nothing outstanding. When dessert came around, another waiter loudly interrupted our conversation and exclaimed "Are you having cake?!"...we were all very confused by his behavior. No dessert menu offered, just a jolting question. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

“Tired”
Reviewed May 25, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant is well located. The interior complete with dramatic murals and an extraordinary fountain must have been fabulous in the first half of the 20th century. Now it is all looking a bit tired and outdated and the owners seem to have given up, with the interior now a mess of discarded chairs, furniture that should have been retired years ago and other paraphernalia. The food varies between excellent (beautifully cooked grilled fish) to school dinner. This could be an outstanding restaurant but one senses that the owner is content to trade on past glories.

“Very good find”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

We recently did a day trip from Venice to Padova and came across this excellent restaurant for lunch. The food was excellent and the service was also of the same standard. This was the best pasta we have had since Sorrento! I would recommend this to anyone visiting this very nice city for a break from the hordes of tourists in Venice.
