The location is very quiet, supermarket and pizzeria round the corner. Easy access to Venice (which we did by train) , Verona and the beautiful Euganean Hills Regional Park - complete with mountains, walks, walled towns and monasteries. Padua itself is under-rated as it has beautiful buildings, piazza's and a vibrant market AND is much quieter than Venice. The owner, Cinzia is a fountain of information about Padua and the property has leaflets and maps to refer to. This ty is a proper Italian family home, with family art works on the walls and a very welcome basket of goodies awaiting your arrival, thought the continental electrical wiring confused us Brits - some sockets only work when the main light is on and none of them have switches! Everything is clean and comfortable - all the rooms have shutters against the sun and there are fans to help keep cool. We loved it.
A lovely home. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms and accommodations. Original artwork throughout the home by her father. Wonderful!
Maps and info on local sites and activities provided. Nice touch! Also provides a gnosh basket for breakfast and snacks, cool drinks in fridge.
Be aware: bathroom and bedrooms are on second floor! Steep, slick, marble steps and no handrails.
Wish using the laundry facility was an option.
If you are hot, ask about the A/C.
Thank you, Cinzia, for all your hospitality! We'll be back!
