“Not bad but a bit pricey for what it offers”
Reviewed February 28, 2010

We stayed here with friends for three nights at the end of February. The rooms are a good size and very clean and the hotel itself is only a few minutes walk from the centre for the ski bus and restaurants, so very conveniently located. We found the staff not particularly friendly and the rooms, garage (for parking) and drinks were all quite expensive. It's also very noisy if you have a room on the main road side, especially if its snowing as you then get the constant noise of snow ploughs scraping the road throughout the night. Overall though not a bad place to stay if you are skiing and want to be able to reach town quickly in the evenings

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the Hotel Mont-Blanc and we were both very disappointed.

When we first arrived the staff didn't seem very helpful. Also, there English wasn't very good. When we got to the room we noticed the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, we even saw traces of urine all over the toilet seat.

When we wanted to sleep at night after a long day of skiing, we couldn't because the bed was so uncomfortable. I think I would have rather slept on the ground. The mattress was so hard and the pillows were pretty bad as well.

On the hotel building it says it is four star but once you walk in, this is clearly no four star. I'm a little confused as to why the reviews for this hotel were so generous. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again and wouldn't recommend anyone else stay here either.

We had a family room and found it to be very comfortable, with the two boys sleeping on a separate level and a fantastic view of the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful and going half board the food was excellent and plentiful. We were the only english speaking guests, it seems everyone else were italian, a good sign that the hotel and food would measure up.Myself and my partner hadnt skiied in over 20 years and it was the first time for the boys aged 8 and 13.The cable car was only a five minute walk away as was the main town. We found the runs challenging and interesting with the scenery second to none. Ski school for the boys worked out great and myself and my partner took private lessons with Ski School Monte Bianco. The food on the slopes was generally good ,try maison vielle and you wont want to eat anywhere else! Avoid Christianos mad busy and food just ok although staff real nice.Apres ski was great recommend American Bar and Bar Roma.Boys loved the free tapas and noshed away all evening.Really pretty town and shops. We hired a car in Turin and drove up about 1 hour 45 mins. All main roads and clear of snow. All in all a great experience for us, definitely will go back we all have the ski bug!

We were a group of over 60 people from Malta and we stayed at this hotel last week. It is an excellent hotel. It is very clean. the food is extremely good and abundant and the service superb! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a superb view of the white peaked Mount Blanc from the balcony....simply breathtaking!! The only complaint I have is that the bread was sometimes a bit stale as otherwise everything was just perfect! I would recomend this hotel to everyone.

My brother stayed here whilst we stayed at Planibel. I wish we had stayed here instead! It was charming, clean and the staff were superb. It is a 4 minute walk from the lifts and next to the best restaurant in La Thuile - La Bricole!
