“Rude staff and slow service.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

We arrived for a lunch on the last day of our holiday after making a large group booking. On arrival I asked where our table was and was told outside. We went back outside and asked someone ( who turned out to be the manager) and she told us in no uncertain terms our table was not outside but inside. I explained that we had been told to come outside and therefore were confused. She stated that she ran the place and gestured that we went inside. No attempt was made to show us where our tables were. We waited 40mins before anyone even came to take our drinks order and then a long time for our food to arrive; a pizza which had a distinct limited supply of ham and mushrooms. During our weeks ski-ing in courmayer we found the staff in all the other lunch stops and our hotel to be very warm and hospitable (even when they were clearly very busy) this was in stark contrast and very disappointing for our last day.

“Extremely poor service and booking system”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013 via mobile

Booked for Xmas day a week before we arrived in resort, checked and was shown our table when we popped in two days before Xmas, everything was fine. On Xmas day we turned up to be told there was no room for us, as you can imagine we were really disappointed, we called the owner over and he was not in any way bothered and basically told us to go elsewhere, we refused. It turned out that the problem was that Heston Blumethal had turned up with his entourage and taken our space. We eventually sat down but Xmas lunch spoilt. No apology or anything.

“best 2,500 metres carbonara !!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

probably one of the most unique baita to enjoy great food and have a rest during your ski day. Focaccia, carbonara, cake, bombardino....all stuff you must try. Inside the baita has a very strong latin american style. I love the place ....book it in advance

“Love it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

Great food, great service (usually) but always with a smile and amazing location. Remember to book, and see if you can find the way there without having to pole across from the chairlift of the same names. There are two ways to ski directly to the door. Giacamo and his team have such a passion to give great food, he even gave bread and honey from the restaurant to the Ultra Trail Runners when his stop was just down for drinks. And the views of Mont Blanc from there are amazing. Also the interior of the restaurant can best be described as fun!

“Great location with lovely food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

We went here almost by accident and it was fantastic. The location is stunning. It's at the top of a chair lift for walkers or on a ski run. The view is amazing. Service was friendly, efficient and good. Food was excellent. Pastas got a thumbs up from everyone as did portion size! Pizzas also got thumbs up and I could see the were sizeable. I had what is described as sausages on the menu but wow! Gorgeous Italian sausages smothered in a spicey tomato sauce with roasted potatoes. Yum, yum, yum. Only one complaint, no draught beers either bottle or can. Otherwise one of my favourite places.
