Couldn't get a table during the weekend rush and was really looking forward to our sunday night booking. There must be an italian Friday-Saturday menu and then a "oh look, here come the brits" sunday sale. Maybe we over-built the hype on ourselves, but i generally holiday to italy for the food and was expecting big things. The sunday menu was a rushed three course menu in 45minutes, think starter done and 30seconds later the main is on its way. In a way, i don't blame them because i'd rather be home early on a sunday evening but at these prices, and given the buzz of the two nights previous, we were expecting better. Potatoes that tasted from frozen were the low-point else the food was just okay. I did pick up this same general vibe across most of courmayeur though, that the service is only for the weekend crowds and the tourists are generally left to fend for themselves mid-week. Must be the tips
