This is a very very good 3 star hotel. It does all the stuff you expect very well. But, what sets it apart for our group of 10 borderline alcoholic, overweight , mid-life crisis rag tag bunch of eejits, was the way all the staff treated us. I don't think we deserved half of those smiles, or the way the minibus driver waited for us sweaty slobs waddling over long after his designated time had elapsed. Our airport transfer bus was an hour late so we asked the lady at front desk to help. Up until then she was mellow, almost disconnected and I did'nt expect much assistance.....but what happened next was without doubt the most impressive performance at any hotel I have ever witnessed. Two other ladies appeared and they each grabbed phone books. I stood for 5 minutes watching two seemingly normal front desk receptionist turn into wonderwoman and Laura croft. The bloke driving minibus realised our predicament, he overtook a Porsche panorama on the bendy section. We got the flights and I know ....I'll be back.

Last minute booking and we were delighted in every way. A charming, friendly and warm hotel, basic but immaculately clean with comfy beds and a decent breakfast. The shuttle service to and from the lift station was very very welcome, and they keep the boot room at a comfortable temperature. Perfect for a skiing break.

We got to town in the afternoon as part of out Tour Monblanc and looked for a decent, inexpensive hotel for 3.
The lady was very nice, gave us free use of Internet and was very helpful.
Everyone met our expectation.

We were three men trekking the Tour Mont Blanc. we stopped at Courmayeur for the night. We took a triple room for about 145 Euro.
The owner was exceptionally nice and happy. She was also very helpful with the launddry (a very important service if you are trekking). the hotel is highly recommended.

This is the first year we have used the Hotel Crampon for our guided & self guided trekking clients who are doing the Tour du Mont Blanc. We (and our clients) found the hotel friendly and good value offering a great B & B service. We will use the hotel again next season and reccommend it to anyone staying in Courmayeur..

we were really happy with this little family run hotel. nothing fancy but very clean and very well run. good size rooms and bathroom with lovely views. a couple mins walk from the main strip and 10 mins walk to the chairlift. Could have been a better selection of fruits/meats at breakfast but there was nice fresh pastries, a couple of cereals, few different meats/cheeses/breads. did the job but ive had better. overall really happy.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a blacony/view

I stayed here 5 nights with my boyfriend and four friends. The family running this hotel are lovely and can't do enough to help. After the first night I complained the bed was too hard, and they swapped it while we were out!

The rooms are quite small but well furnished in a mountain/cabin style and the bathrooms are large and very clean (although we didn't have a bath).

Breakfast was what you expect in mainland Europe: cold meat and cheese, bread and, for those with a sweet tooth, the custard-filled croissants are wonderful. The food was constantly replenished, of if things did run out they were soon replaced.

They run a shuttle to the gondola to get to the slopes between 8:30 and 10:00 and back between 3:30 and 4:30 and were quite flexible if we were a little bit late.

The main downside was that there wasn't free WIFI, but at €2 or an hour (cheeper for more hours), it wasn't extortionate, and I am told very fast.

The one thing to note about Courmayeur itself is that the restaurants all book up, and, if oyu want your dinner before 10pm it is well worth booking in advance (even if it is just as you are heading down form the slopes for later that evening).

Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay here, especially due to the warmth and friendliness of our hosts.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies - we didn't get on of them but they look really nice!
