“Excellent service and minutes from the slopes”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

Travelled with a group, management very friendly and helpful. Very close to the gondola and could ski right back. Excellent hors d'oeuvres, could have lived on this alone and food pretty good but not outstanding. Room rather small but comfortable, nice bath and shower. Would visit again.

An ideally situated hotel about 1 minute walk down the road to the main gondola & bubble lift up to Plan Maison and a 10 minute walk down hill to the main street.
The room was a little on the small side but was clean and warm and had a safe in the wardrobe to keep personal effects. The bathroom was of a decent size with bath and power shower and the water was always hot and plentiful.
The all inclusive was very beneficial ensuring that spend in resort was kept to a minimum. The hotel bar was excellent with good beer and a variety of spirits on offer. The drinks were however only free after 4.30pm until 10.30pm. They had to be paid for prior to and after these times. A small selection of free cakes were also offered at 4.30pm which were well received when returning from a days skiing. There was also a free hot drinks machine in the bar area that could be used at any time serving lovely hot chocolate, tea and coffee, water etc. All drinks were served in glasses and not plastic.
Breakfast was plentiful and a choice of either english or continental was available. As others have stated the food in the terrines cooled quickly but fresh hot food was regularly replenished and I suppose at the end of the day, it was all down to timing. The evening meal commenced at 7.30pm with a lovely (help yourself) selection of both hot and cold antipasti, a served starter and then a main course, chosen the night before. All meals were accompanied by a carafe of red and white wine which could be 'topped' up on request and a jug of water. An array of
help yourself fresh cream cakes, puddings, blancmanges etc were available as a sweet but in all honesty, we only managed these on one occasion due to being 'stuffed' from the previous courses. Tip - get into the restaurant as close as possible to 7.30pm as the antipasti, quickly disappeared with not much replenishment. Once it had gone, it tended to stay gone.
Pack lunches were offered every morning, consisting of ham and cheese/salami and cheese sandwiches, bottled water and a bar of chocolate. We found these more than adequate. Food and drink at the mountain restaurants and bars, although good, tended to be a bit on the pricey side. Two beers for example cost 12 euros. Small tins of coke 3.50 euros, gluvine 3.50 euros.
All in all, the hotel was more than adequate for our needs, with helpful staff, a good boot room, lift, good bar area, a small wellness centre (unused by ourselves) and good food. I would give a 2-3 star rating overall with good access to the lifts. Would we go back again - definitely.

The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the Gondola. The rooms are adequate, just what you expect from a skiing hotel in Europe. Double bed, bath(full size) shower and toilet and nice and warm. The all inclusive gives a great selection of drinks and the beer is great quality, believe me I have tried many. The staff were friendly and hard working, we never had to wait long for our meals. There was a reasonable selection of food for breakfast although how they never managed to get the hot water urn warmer than tepid was a mystery, still plenty of fruit juice was available and a coffee machine. There is also a pretty decent stab at an English breakfast but they need to find a better way of keeping it hot. The evening meals were generally very good. you order the night before from a reasonable selection and get a freshly made starter and main course. Before this there is an excellent buffet. I would definitely come back here. There are only a few minor niggles to iron out and it is only a 5 minute walk from the main street where the nightlife is for the young uns.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front offer a magnificent view of the Matterhorn

This hotel is a few minute walk from the town of Cervinia. It is about 2 mins to the gondola, which takes you up the mountain where all the ski slopes and other gondolas/chair lifts are accessed.
The hotel is basic but adequate. Some bedrooms are in need of updating, especially the bathrooms. However, the room was always very warm.
There was enough selection at breakfast, however the water for tea/coffee was not hot and the hot breakfast selection was not hot either.
The evening meal consisted of a buffet and then a pre-selected starter and main meal. Again, these were not hot, tepid at best, which was disappointing.
The bar area is spacious and plenty of choice for the free drinks included in the all inclusive package. Nancy, the barmaid, was very hard working and friendly.
This hotel does give value for money but don't expect luxury. It does the job.

Room Tip: Room at the front of the hotel for views of the mountains and The Matterhorn.

Second time here and wished we hadn't have bothered. Holiday started with coach driver throwing bags off into car park slush and brown water - great - a wet through bag before you get to the hotel. Rooms are very basic and in need of a refurb. Breakfast cold and staff that are idle. Not one of them smiled at all and ask them to do something and it's like the end of the world. Won't be going here again.

Overall very enjoyable & comfortable stay, close to gondola and secure boot room. Breakfast was varied but evening dinner was average to poor, with cold vegetables & dry meats. The clean, large & comfortable bar area made up for this with plenty of free drinks, games and wonderfull staff. Room itself dirty in places but good facilties, not phase myself as not spend much time in.

We were apprehensive as we'd read some bad reviews but the place was absolutely great , we had nothing to worry about! We were there 5th-12th Jan and the conditions were fantastic we were in a huge group of 80 or so people and the staff were great with all of us, a few injuries within the group but not one complaint. We found the little cut off home made slope to the hotel which meant that we didn't have to walk from the gondola, although it was only a small walk in actual fact, but it was amusing!
The weather was beautiful all week and the view from our room made it worth while paying the extra for that view every morning! The bathroom was nice and clean, shower was hot and powerful and the option of having a bath for weary legs was good although as with most ski resorts I have been to, the bath was a short one. Rooms were cleaned and beds made every day and the were extremely warm!
Food was really good and I have to say I put on a few pounds as the Italians like their food!packed lunches were a good idea too.
All in all the place was great and the town only a small walk down the steps (quite slippery at night) if you fancy checking out the night life in Cervinia
Will be back, thank you :0)

Room Tip: Mountain view room 304 was lovely
