As expected the hotel, the room and the food was excellent. In spite of terrible weather we fully enjoyed our second visit to this hotell. Its closeness to lifts and pist is an extra benefit. The only draw back is that you risk to eat to much.

Room tip: Junior suite was fine

Love this hotel. We have stayed four times. This time we had a Sunny Side suite and it was absolutely fabulous. We will be coming back. These newly built suites are just the best. Nice lounge area with a large-ish TV screen with Sky. The suite is nicely decorated and feels fresh, with two bathrooms, a bath tub on the bedroom mezzanine and, ladies, take note: vast amounts of wardrobe space with a fair number of hangers! The added bonus is a sunny side balcony and a walk-in storage area for unsightly luggage and skiing clothes, etc. The Spa is great and is conveniently located next to the suites on the 4th floor. We always drive to Italy for our skiing holidays, and the hotel offers underground car parking (for a daily charge) as well as outside hotel courtyard parking (also for a charge), but it is worth it - they also cleaned the car for us. There are two lifts in the hotel which also takes you down to the ski locker room. It is advisable to bring a pair of slip-ons, clogs or slippers to go to the ski room. Ski boots are not allowed in the hotel common areas. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They organise lift passes for you, if you like. The food is absolutely superb, freshly prepared, delicious and beautifully presented, and there is a very knowledgeable sommelier who is more than happy to introduce your taste buds to a new wine every night. The bar tender is great as well. What's not to like about this place? The only thing I would say is that the lounge is a little bit dated, with lots of chintzy pine furniture and extremely unflattering overhead lighting. A few small candles dotted around the place and on the tables wouldn't go amiss. There is a nice big fireplace, however, which makes up for it a bit. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, the suite has USB charging sockets, and there is a minibar.

Dear guest,

thank you for this beautiful review and for all the compliments on our staff, services and facilities!
It is true: we have the chance to have both beautiful Matterhorn views as well as sunny side rooms and we aim at offering our guests the best services, facilities, food and wine experiences.
We also thank you for your suggestion concerning the lounge, we take it into consideration to further improve the atmosphere of that area.

We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again!

Kind regards!

First of all the location of this hotel is great, just a few minutes walk to the ski lift with a ski boot room that is easily accessed from outside the hotel. The half board option is reasonable at 30euro for 4 courses which includes salad buffet. However I was a bit disappointed with the food as portion size is small and the need to focus on decoration of the plate supercedes what is on the plate. There were too many times when the vegetables on the plate were dried out to look good and wafer thin. Sometimes people who have bee skiing all day want something a bit substantial. One of my main courses which was a meat dish had a sharp cocktail stick left in the meat which had not been communicate to me via the waiter and without me knowing I found the cocktail stick inside my mouth having put some meat in my mouth. The experience was not pleasant and could have been worse if I had swallowed it. What made made me more upset was the attitude of the manager who did not bother to apologise or offer any discount on a future meal.
Another point I must raise is the breakfast. Whilst the breakfast offers quite a bit of variety I don't think guests should have to use a sharp knife to peel three or four oranges before putting pieces of orange into a juice machine getting their hands all messy before they sit down to eat. Also the added option of vegetables along with orange means that some guests who put ginger for example with orange in the machine make the juice residue taste of ginger which is a strong flavour and one which not everybody want to taste with their orange juice. The vegetable machine must be marked VEGETABLE ONLY.
The eggs on offer are boiled eggs or scrambled eggs... but the scambled eggs are too runny and mixed with what looks like milk making them all liquid and unappetizing. If you want omelette or fried eggs you must pay between 5 and 7 euros approx extra which is crazy.
. Oh and watch out that you don't get short changed at the bar and reception, I did twice!

Dear guest,

thank you for taking the time to make this review and share again your feedback with us.
We have had the pleasure to welcome guests for 50 years and the proximity to the ski slopes, our warm welcoming attitude and our Food and Beverage experience have always been recognized.
The half board solution is absolutely convenient and ideal after a day on the slopes: 5 different dishes from Antipasti to Dessert with plenty enjoyable portions and the undeniable savoir-faire of our Chef.

To confirm what we told you during your stay: the “sharp cocktail stick” that you mention is necessary for the composition of the dish and to join the two types of meat that compose the dish. Our director has been informed of your note and you also had the opportunity to meet him in the Ski room: he apologized for this situation and you told that you appreciated his initiative.

Also we would like to thank you another time for your different subjective notes about our food proposals: we take them into consideration but we are sure of the quality of our service made with savoir-faire, experience and which is praised from many years and by every single guest.

Yours sincerely

Visited for the second time in March. A wonderful family run hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is second to none. The evening restaurant is excellent as well but too rich for our 12 year old so we eat out this time. Also on the doorstep of the lifts. we'll come again.
