We stayed here for my birthday and had an excellent stay. We messaged the hotel a week or two before we were due to arrive to request a room overlooking the village; however, all these rooms were full so we had a room on the other side of the hotel overlooking the road. I was a little disappointed as I'd read some negative comments about these rooms, but when we arrived, we had a room right on the corner so had an excellent view of the Matterhorn. Noise from the road wasn't a problem either.

The room and bathroom were immaculate when we arrived; probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was cleaned every day to the same high standard. The bed was comfortable enough but the mattress was noisy, so whenever one of us moved it woke the other one up. The room was a little too hot at night, but not unbearable. One thing that would have made a huge difference for us would have been a kettle in the room so we could have a tea or coffee after coming off the slopes (but I think that's just a British thing though - we need tea to survive haha!).

Breakfast was good but the breakfast room got slightly crowded at busy periods which could be a bit annoying.

Overall, the aforementioned negative points are just minor things and the staff far outweighed these. They were all fantastic, so friendly, polite and hardworking. A couple of nights we were too tired from long days on the slopes to go out for food, so we ate from the small hotel menu. Everything we had was very tasty, especially the mini pizzas, and the hotel lounge was so cosy and relaxing that I could have spent every night in there.

The free shuttle to town was really great, and we never had to wait long.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, straight out and onto the piste (perhaps a little steep for a beginner though).

This was our first trip to Cervinia (and Italy). We had a brilliant week snowboarding, and were lucky enough to have a mix of powder days and sunshine throughout the week. We found the Italians to be very friendly and we will definitely be returning. When we do return, we will stay in Hotel Furggen again.

The hotel is overlooking the village and the Cretaz lift. Cosy hotel, very clean and the staff is excellent and very service minded!! The breakfast buffet offers a lot to start the day before skiing. The free shuttle service is great, to and from the village. Used it three times, otherwise it took approx 10-12 minutes to walk to and from the village. The rooms are nice and clean, but the beds are hard, maybe it is Italian standard. I definitely recommend the hotel!

Room tip: Be sure to get a room with balcony overlooking the village.

Perfect if you are looking for a no frills ski in ski out hotel. The staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. We didn't wait more than a few minutes for a ride into town or back. There are a number of restaurants within a short walk if you do not fancy going into town and a small bar menu at the hotel for snacks. Breakfast is standard continental. Had a great time!

Great little family run hotel. Very conveniently located right on the slopes and a mini bus transfer is available to and from the town center.
Breakfast was good, nice small bar and friendly helpful staff. Although the rooms could be described as a bit tired they were perfectly comfortable and this is a very reasonably priced hotel.

Just next to the slopes this hotel is cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is good and ski lockers are provided. Parking is limited in my estimation but I was lucky to find a spot. The price/location ratio is good overall. Will definitely go back.
