“first time visit.”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

Was welcomed in as we walked the street. Some really good local food with fair prices. Service good. Good location- right down the main street which makes it easy to find.

“Hasty service but good food”
Reviewed December 28, 2011

We ate here on a very busy weekend at the beginning of December 2011, which may partly account for the negative points in my review. The food was good and tasty, but it was not clear to us that the menus on the outside where not available that day and that the only menu was the one given to us by the waiter. Anyhow, we found something we liked and stayed there. After a few minutes more clients came in and the restaurant was full and it was chaos. The owner wasn't able to mange the queue the service got hasty and we didn't feel like staying too long in there while people were waiting outside. Probably, on a less busy day, you may have the chance to enjoy your food properly.

“Avoid under all circumstances”
Reviewed May 25, 2011

We arrived in Aosta a bit late for lunch. Wandering around town, we found this place and it seemed perfectly fine - especially given two out of three of us were vegetarian. It happened to be one of the few places serving lunch at 2:30pm.

We specifically mentioned we were not particularly hungry, and wanted a light bite. We were basically coerced into ordering (for the two vegetarians in our party) a caprese salad and a polenta/mushroom dish. We specifically asked for one each, to be shared. This was conveniently ignored.

We were charged Eur 10 for EACH of these portions, in other words Eur 50 for two caprese salads, two polenta/mushroom, and one canneloni (which was quite good). Our bill totalled Eur 65 for what we had hoped would be a light lunch. The waiter talked our ear off in an obvious effect to distract us from the fleecing that was in progress.

I caution others to avoid this restaurant, or if you do go, to watch your wallet.
