“Want to return - did not want to leave!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks during the UCI World Masters Cycling races. The location was unbeatable, being right on the starting line near the Piazza Duomo. The hotel owners, Walter and Giovanna -- as well as all the other hotel staff -- were very friendly and helpful. With our bikes and our van, it seemed like we were always asking for things; however, none of our requests were ever too difficult for them. We were always greeted with smiles and made to feel at home, which made it all the more difficult to leave.

The hotel is different from any other we have stayed in. Each room has its own special theme and character. The rooms have obviously been recently renovated, so everything seems fresh and modern, as well as comfortable. Our king-sized room ("Dante") had a sauna as well as chromo-therapy lighting in the beautifully-tiled shower.

The breakfasts were served each morning in the attached bar/cafe. There was always a good selection of cereal, pastries, fruit, juices, and of course whatever coffee you wanted. The cafe also served a nice lunch, as well as evening cocktails, outside on the street under the umbrellas.

We would love to return to Trento and stay at this hotel again!

We chose this hotel as it was close to the train station in Trento, and had good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were so pleased when we got to the hotel and into our rooms and found everything to be clean, charming and modern. Our rooms were very spacious. We were SO lucky to stay here and are sorry we didn't stay more than one night. The town of Trento is so historic and charming. The hotel is located in a beautiful square and we had a wonderful lunch at the hotel upon arrival, sitting outside looking at the Duomo. We also had dinner at Scrigno del Duoma, and that was fantastic, and just a few short steps from the hotel in the same square. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious and had several options. It was a very generous breakfast and the service at the bar was great, too. The best part of the hotel was the proprietor, Walther. He and his staff helped us out so much when we had problems with our rental car from AutoEurope. We would not have been able to get to the next town without the help of Walther. He went above and beyond in helping us evaluate transportation alternatives and calling the hotel we were staying at that night. We couldn't believe how he went out of his way to make sure we were able to make the next part of our journey. Thank you to the staff of Hotel Aquila d'Oro. We are so grateful we stayed at your hotel.

We loved our stay at this hotel in the adorable town of Trento! The location is perfect and the host, Walther, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He even helped us with logistics for the next leg of our trip when we had a problem with our rental car. We had a wonderful lunch when we first got there and felt at home immediately. The continental breakfasts were quite tasty and the rooms were spotless, modern and yet cozy. The free wireless was great and all the staff were kind and helpful. Anyone who stays here will love the accommodations, location and hospitality at this truly unique hotel!!!

This hotel, in the very heart of Trento, has many attractions: each room is different (they don't have numbers, but rather names, as 'Torre Augusta'); they are very well furnished; the shower/douche is adequate for a spa; personal amenities are aplenty; breakfast is excellent. You are at a (very short) stone's throw from the Piazza del Duomo, the center of this beautiful city. Nearby, try the restaurant 'Scrigno del Duomo' (book and delight yourself with a degustation menu). Highly recommended!

120 euros for a double standard room which turned out to a be a single room with a king-sized bed..fortunately me and my husband could fit!
No parking, no help for parking.
No lounge area.
Pros: very beautiful multifunction shower and nice breakfast. Plus, it is right in Duomo square, which is beautiful.
More of a b&b rather than a 4-star hotel. Very nice, but not worth it for that price.

Everything about our stay was outstanding, beginning with the warm and helpful reception. The location off the main square allows for easy access to sites, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are uniquely— and somewhat whimsically decorated— with modern high quality fixtures, and meticulously maintained. Felt right at home, except this place was cleaner (and we're not slobs).

Staying three nights on business (visiting a wine fair). The location is really good, next to the dome and the main square of Trento. Several cafees, bars, restaurants and shops witihn a few minutes walk.

Rooms are big, modern and recently renovated. Top class, and don't bee fooled by the low key reception area.

Breakfast buffett is decent, though not truly memorable in any way.

Would certainly stay here again.
