Stopping over for a few days in Merano on our route north, we felt like having a real Italian meal before leaving the land. After reading some reviews at TA, we booked for lunch at L'Alessandra, and what a treat! Although a bit off dowtown Merano, the city isn't that big and the place is worth it. Good, savoury dishes, very reasonably priced and the host, Signore Nilo and his staff, really go out of their way to make you feel at home and happy. Definitely a must when visiting Merano!
