So 5 guys arrived in Torino looking for a nice bite to eat, we were walking along and walked past a restaurant on the corner after the park with stained glass windows and immediatley they asked me if we should go in there so i said why not. It was quite busy when we sat down, one thing that drove me into going there was that you couldn't see in. I hate seeing outside restaurants as its all about whats going on inside it. So we sat down at a table near the door but they moved us further back. So we opted for a bottle of red between two of the guys, two "tennants super" typical italian beer...for them. then the other 3 of us shared a litre craft of wine. So they brought out the freshest bread anyone would have tasted which went down a treat not needing butter like the stuff in the UK due to all sorts in it. I opted for Linguine Pescatora to start followed by a pizza. The pasta arrived and immediatley i knew the fish was frozen then once i tasted the langoustine i was disappointed it was revolting. Then the pizza arrived but i wasn't impressed either there was too much on it and the base was too soggy. We then had an espresso with sambuca each which went down a treat. Then we were greeted with a free limoncello which was delightful.
We left to a chorus of goodbyes and lovely smiling girls. So we left to go to a pub for a drink then ended up walking past then ventured back into the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of champagne, 5 beers, 5 limoncellos, 5 jagers, 5 espressos but the gentlemen knew how much we appreciated the staff's hard work and he gave us a couple of focaccia's on the house which were very nice.
After the football the next day we went past and a couple of us opted for a plate of pasta or pizza to tide us over until dinner...i went for gnocchetti which was very nice.
Nice enough place but would opt for basic stuff over the fish as it was really bad. But i'd go back just for the staffs service was very appealing.
