In Italy, it is sometimes hard to find anything other than pizza and pasta. So we found this restaurant as an alternative! When we arrived we first thought it was closed (as there was no obvious light showing) but don't be misled, they were open! Also we thought we were first and only customers, as no one else was in the front area, where we sat! Well..everyone was in the crowded back part!!
The food is really good and tasty, we had kebab meat, rice and salad. We noticed there was a cover charge, so this increased the cheap price to a reasonable price. Ouzo was also cheap here.
They have a menu in English, but it doesn't fully explain what the food is. However the staff do their best to try to explain what it is.
People also call in for takeaway too!

My wife and I tried Kirkuk for some Kurdish food tonight. It was nice and reasonably tasty (the babaghanooge was prepared earlier in the day and sis not seem as tasty as in other places). The falafel I enjoyed, my wife did not. the vegetarian main dishes were inexpensive and tasty. Service was kind . Reservations seems very necessary - we had to reserve for the next night after being turned down. The ENglish version of the menu lacked the day's specials, so ask for help. A lot of Kurdish things secorate the place, plus rugs, etc

We loved the food  and service so much, we went back twice for lunch.  Very reasonable price too.  The waitstaff were very welcoming and very helpful, trying in english to explain the menu..  Each time the place was very busy, with locals.  So if you are looking for some tasty food other than with an Italian slant,  try Kircuk Caffe.
