I've been here few times and it has always been a good experience. The quality of the food is very good and the price not too expensive. There are some "classic" dishes like the "Peperoni" or "Stinco" that are a must that you should taste at least once.
And last but not least the good wines. The list of wines to chose from is long and there are very good labels. Allow the waitress to give you advice on your choice, she is very competent and can give you good suggestions.

Don't know why this restaurant is marked with $$$$ when the most expensive main is 13 euros. It is great local Piemonte food. We have been twice and tonight we had the most expensive red wine at 25 euros, 2 mains (the pork and the beef) both magic and 2 desserts (4 euros each) with a 2001 dessert wine at 25 euros also magic. Angelo is a great host with good English and an English menu. You may need to book as our first visit we ate in the overflow area on a Wednesday but booked for Friday.

The other reviews are spot-on: this place offers terrific food with a local cant to it (eg Bagna Caoda), very good service and overall at pretty reasonable prices.
Highly recommended.

Lovely warm friendly service for an excellent meal outside looking at pretty churches and bell towers. Excellent food. We had peppers with anchovy sauce and an anchovy chilli salad (very strong flavours but delicous) followed by roast veal and beef stew cooked in local red wine. Advice from the proprieter on wines which were local and perfect. Really great place to go and no outrageously priced.
