“Charming bnb in the heart of Torino, expect a warm welcome!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

A friend suggested Aprile B&B to me, and I feel fortunate to have found it! Cristina greets guests with the warmest hospitality, which was just what I needed after landing in Torino late on a cold winter night. She personally greeted me and took me to my room well after my 10pm arrival. The B&B, located in the heart of the Quadrilatero Romano, is made up of several rooms located at the top of an old historic building. I found my room to be (almost) as warm and welcoming as Cristina, with old hardwood floors and exposed beams and a picturesque city view out of the window. Equipped with all the amenities--a large comfy bed, free internet access, a shower with great water pressure (and it didn't leak, for those of you familiar with some EU showers), plenty of fresh towels, a television, and even a tea kettle to make a cup of hot tea--it was quaint and comfortable. Breakfast was located in a cafe around the corner from the B&B, with fresh juices and a mean cappuccino as well as pastries and things. I really loved the location of this B&B, it was central to all the sites and attractions, but the neighborhood itself has some off-the-beaten path boutiques and restaurants worth popping into. Cristina is the most open and friendly hostess you can ask for, with priceless information about the area and just a real pleasure to talk to. I will definitely be staying here the next time I come to Torino. (Just beware if you have a lot of heavy luggage because there is no lift!)

Just back from a wonderful 2 night stay at this bnb. My room was lovely with a separate bedroom and living area, a very comfy bed and an idyllic view. Cristina is a very friendly and helpful host and made me feel really welcome. The bnb is in the heart of Turin and in walking distance to the main attractions, historic churches, cafes and transport. An excellent base for a trip to Turin. My only regret is that I did not stay a night or two longer!

Cristina provides a very warm and friendly authentic Torino experience. The B&B is located in a very old traditional building, which has been lovingly restored, in the heart of the historical part of the city. Everything was perfect and our visit was made even more so by Cristina's invaluable local knowledge on what to see - and eat - in Torino. Highly recommended.

I can only confirm what other people who have stayed here have said, and therefore I also highly recommend this place. Cristina has lost none of her charm or enthusiasm, and the room was perfect - spacious, clean, cozy bed, and quiet. Breakfast was in a small chapel round the corner converted into a cafe... what a great way to start an "old world day"! Among the sites not to be missed are the cinema museum set superbly in the Mole Antoniellana and the automobile museum. I tried to have dinner each evening, but the wonderful snacks they serve (apericena) in Torino's bars and cafes filled me up! I loved the cafes in the leafy Piazza Emanuele Filiberto just around the corner from Aprile's.

This is a great place to stay! Cristina who runs it is super friendly and helpful and made us feel more than welcome. The location is very central with plenty of nice cafes and restaurants around. We had a very large room with sofa etc and it was lovely....all very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Really recommend this place to complement your stay in Turin.

This B&B is run with great enthusiasm by Cristina who was very warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable, with a window that could be left open (providing you don't mind the nearby clock chiming every half hour or so, which I found quite relaxing!) It's in a very interesting historical area, with great restaurants and cafes very close by, and only a short walk to the city centre. It was very easy to get to via the tram from the Porta Nuova train station. There are quite a few stairs to climb and no lift, so travel light! Breakfast is coffee and a brioche in two nearby cafes, both of which were excellent. I found this to be a very good value-for-money place to stay and would recommend it accordingly.

Book now -- don't hesitate. We were in the room called "The Book of Longing" (not sure why, but there is poetry there), with a large main room, sofa, big comfortable bed, roomy bathroom, and all of it very tastefully appointed. (A small fridge would be welcome.) The building is well located in the Quadrilatero, with Consolata around the corner and Piazza Savoia nearby, good restaurants, cafes and shops, and just a short walk to the city center. Cristina, the owner, is extra-enthusiastic and extremely kind and helpful. When next we visit Torino, we know we won't have to spend time wondering where to stay. Bravo Aprile!
