Bad service, bad food: lamb meat not well cooked and very long time of waiting between starter and main course.
We sit for have dinner at 9pm, so there weren't not so much clients...
If you have the possibility, search for other places!!!

“Bustling, traditional, very good food”
Reviewed May 19, 2012

This is a small restaurant with tables on the Piazza Vittorio Veneto. I can confirm the lamb chops are excellent. The service was very friendly and the restaurant was well-priced. I will go back next time I am in Turin. If you are there out of season I would consider a reservation as the interior does not have a lot of room and was crowded on a recent Sunday evening in April.

“Great Food with a whistle!”
Reviewed May 15, 2012

To be there! Great Food, great atmosphere. You'd ask for their famous lamb chops made in the oven (wooden fire), although any kind of pasta, and appetizers are awesome. Pizza as well: thick and good. Although the place is called "Da Michele", the owner is Andrea (with his wife and son around the place). In summer ask for a table in the square (but be sure to reserve a table!!). Huge umbrella on the tables will protect you from short showers. Worth to feel Torino downtown when in the square. Inside (winter) is nicely noisy... Why Food with a whistle? Andrea likes to whistle while serving you his delicious food!! Try it.

“Bad Service”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

My family and I went there for a late lunch on Easter Sunday and I think they restauraunt was unprepared for the crowds. The service was pretty bad, our food came out at all different times - - my kids and husband were almost done eating by the time I got my chicken. When I did get my chicken I was told there were no more potatoes, which was part of the meal. I was not offered a substitue and nothing was taken of my bill. So 14 euros seemed like a lot to pay for just some roasted chicken. Our salads came after the meal as well. The food was pretty good but it was a little overpriced considering. It might normally be a great place to eat, but the staff seemed a little overwhelmed that day.

Warm, friendly; simple, excellent food; queues outside are always a great sign.
