Owner description: This was the first “home” of the Holy Shroud after its arrival from Chambéry. San Lorenzo has an extraordinary cupola (completed in 1680) designed by Guarino Guarini and exemplifies the baroque style. The Duke Emanuele Filiberto had the church dedicated to the Saint after the victory of the Battle of San Quintino. In piazza Castello.

Beautiful church with a very touching welcoming letter in several languages. It located across from the Royal Palace.

Hard to spot as a church from the outside, but stunningly ornate within. Copy of the Shroud an added bonus in sacristy.

This church is an amazing piece of architecture. Guarino Guarini was Borromini on steroids, and this is second only to his chapel for the Shroud, which is unfortunately now closed. Amazing also is the reconstruction done on it after being bombed during WWII. Not to be missed.

This church on the main piazza has flat, almost residential facade that hides its magnificent interior. The dome resting on great arches has eight windows that illuminate the interior. Although we did not go see it, there is a small side chapel that has what one local called "the best reproduction of the Shroud of Turin and you don't even have to pay!"
