Owner description: Piazza San Carlo was designed by Carlo di Castellamonte in 1642 and completed in 1650. In the middle of the piazza you’ll find the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto (known to all as “El Caval èd brons”), sculpted by Carlo Marocchetti in 1838. The porticoed buildings surrounding the piazza give space to numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants.

Perhaps the most beautiful piazza in Turin, this is a wonderful place to sit and relax. There are public benches, beautiful buildings, great restaurants, and great shops. The statue in the center of the piazza is a famous meeting place for city dwellers. The "twin" chapels at one end (they're not identical) are worth seeing.

Very elegant square, the real centre of Torino. The monument in the middle is the most preferred meeting point. Take a look at the decorations of the palaces on the sides: each decoration is different. Cafes along the "portici" surround the square.

One of several grand piazzas in central Turin, and whilst no longer populated with high-end venues from a former era (lots of grand premises have been converted into office suites), it still conveys massive style and is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a beer under the shade of an umbrella in one of the bars.

Very nice little square. A few cafes around.
Nice ice cream around the corner (via santa teresa).
There was classical music, live and free, when we were there. It was very nice!
