Owner description: Piazza San Carlo was designed by Carlo di Castellamonte in 1642 and completed in 1650. In the middle of the piazza you’ll find the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto (known to all as “El Caval èd brons”), sculpted by Carlo Marocchetti in 1838. The porticoed buildings surrounding the piazza give space to numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants.

“Elegant Square”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

nothing bad, very special athmosphere in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Pedestrian area, no cars, nice bars and a quiet environment. Very 'Torinese'.

“Nice place with lots of activities going on especially during the weekends”

Piazza San Carlo in Turin is a must for visitors.
Close by there is Castel Reale, ST John the Baptist Church where the Turin shroud is guarded and Palazzo Madama.

“Nice attractions”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is Turin's main square, you will find many attractions nearby. There are many shops of all types in this area in the morning there are many cafetterias who make delicious brioches which is a must once you visit Turin :)

“An open air living room”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

One of the most beautiful and charming square we have ever seen. Right in the heart of town, completely off to cars, still sitting on top of a very useful parking. It is especially worth on an early sunday morning with the sun just coming up. Lined with arcades and old fashoned cafes

“Wonderful, classic public square”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

Known as the "drawing room of Turin" and rightly so. A place tro see, hang out, and sample coffee at the great caffés lining the arcades.
