Owner description: Piazza San Carlo was designed by Carlo di Castellamonte in 1642 and completed in 1650. In the middle of the piazza you’ll find the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto (known to all as “El Caval èd brons”), sculpted by Carlo Marocchetti in 1838. The porticoed buildings surrounding the piazza give space to numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants.

Great spot to indulge in good Italian coffee and find a nibble of freshly prepared aperitivo's. Take a breather, sit back and take in the bustle of Turin.

Great intro for tourists new in Europe. I learned that Italian cities are known for their piazzas... It is so beautiful and is full of history. Don't forget to try some gelato!

I recommend coffee, aperitivi, gelato, and pastries at Caval d Brons. Enjoy the trendy, glamourous shopping at San Carlo dal 1976 or whatever it's called. The boutique Paissa is the old school precursor to Eataly, with lots of Italian (mostly not Piemontese) food products and wine.

lovely place to stroll along and sit in the sun; right at the centre of Torino, leads to many fascinating streets...

We stumble upon Piazza San Carlo on the last day in Turin. We were up early to find a place to have breakfast before we leave for the train station. It was cold but we still prefer to sit outside at one of the sidewalk cafes! Beautiful breakfast view...how could I not? :))
