“A very modern hotel with every room having its own theme.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2014

A very modern hotel with amazing individual designed rooms. They are spacious and have fantastic designs..We had a large room with balcony looking out to the street. One room had cement furniture and steel rods as a backdrop to the bed head. The safe was in a cement. Lock. The reception area was very modern and we had free internet. The only downer was a person walked into the breakfast area, pretended go have breakfast and stole a ladies hand bag.

Room Tip: Watch your valuables as this person just walked onto hotel and sat down reading a map and walked out...

Stayed 2 separate nights at this hotel (one at beginning on holiday, the other at the end) so experienced 2 different rooms, the second room being much better than the first. The second room was very quiet as it was at the end of a corridor and overlooked the garden, the first was quite noisy because it was right next to the lift.
The hotel is situated a 10 min walk from Porta Nuova station, with tram line 4 into the city centre and various bus stops nearby. It's on a quiet side street, so no heavy traffic noise.
Rooms were both quite spacious, nice clean bathrooms. Excellent breakfast, cakes/fruit/cooked breakfast/coffee from a jug or cappucinos, espressos from the waiting staff.
Staff were all friendly and efficient, it's a good hotel and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Away from the lift, at the rear of the building.

The hotel is very modern and nice, furnished in modern art style and the staff is extremely nice. I've been in this hotel 3 times, 2 for business and 1 for vacation. Only the second time i had a single room that really disappointed me, small, sad, and not so clean as i expect from a 4 star hotel, especially compared with the room i had the first time: this one was wonderful, with a huge bathroom, an incredible mix of modern art and ethnic topics, thankfully i spent only one night in the worst one and 3 nights in the "special" one.
Last time i wanted to come back there for a quick "couple" vacation, using a smartbox. Sometimes if you use smartbox you're a "lower category" client for hotels and restaurants, and the service is not at the same level...sometimes it happens...but not in Art Hotel, we had a free upgrade and they gave us a suite (Picasso suite), only because we asked for a upper floor room during the reservation! what a nice loft room, huge, clean and posh!!!! We also had a free cocktail in the hotel bar with a nice garden. The position is good, i know Turin very well and we used our car to reach all the places, but if you want you can take the metro (200m from hotel) or the tram (30m). Last comment on breakfast, the quality is good but the location could be better, almost "claustrophobic" at level -1....if there would be the chance to have it outside in the garden, it would be perfect! Anyway, finally it's a great accomodation in Turin, not extremely expensive for a 4 star and in general one of the vest hotels i tried in Turin.

stayed 1 night
this hotel is distinguished by the excellent collection of contemporary art which is displayed
my daughter and I were en route to Florence and being a Monday the galleries in Turin were shut, fortunately our disappointment was offset by the artistic contents of the hotel and its presentation
it was as if we had a gallery to enjoy in the hotel

This hotel was a good value, is clean, safe, and very interesting with the art they showcase. The rooms were spacious by European standards. The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. It is about a 10 Euro taxi ride from the main squares. The staff was very helpful in setting up our transportation to attractions and the airport.

I stayed here with my brother and enjoyed the stay although the room was a little 'cold' everything was done in concrete. I know this is an art hotel but would have been nice to have a little warmth to the room.
The staff were excellent and welcoming.... but the beer in the bar was a little expensive.

Breakfast was good and service very friendly

It is a little out of the centre but not too dificult to find.

On balance I would stay here again if I had a different room.

Hotel was slightly out of town, and difficult to get to from the airport by public transport, took over 1.5hrs. The hotel itself looks great, lovely breakfast, but the wall of the rooms are paper thin, so thin in fact you can hear people using the toilet, clearly hear every word of a conversation, and the chorus of snoring throughout the night, which means you don’t get a wink of sleep. Hence a generous 2 stars. We spent 2 days walking around like zombies through lack of sleep. Look elsewhere if you are light sleepers. Service and price of the drinks where poor, service at breakfast was much better.

Room Tip: We stayed on floor 3, rooms elsewhere might be better, but its probably a bit of a lottery.
