Really great central location just 2 minutes from the royal palace and main streets. Not very modern and our room (especially bathroom) was showing its age. But it was clean and the staff were very helpful. Was a bit disappointed on arrival but the hotel really grew on us over our 3 night stay!

If this hotel had an elevator, I would give it the top rating. I knew it has no elevator, but it's not easy to find a nice reasonably priced hotel in the center of Torino with its own parking. The parking area is limited, but they can squeeze up to 8 cars in the parking area, and they do the maneuvering. You are asked to leave your car key at the desk. There's a picture of the parking area attached.

The location is super - right in the center - and if you are there primarily to visit Torino, there's no need for a car. The hotel has a restaurant, which is supposed to be quite good and includes a Pugliese menu, as the owner is from Puglia. (We didn't manage to eat there except for breakfast.) Breakfast is fine, and when the owner (Mr Lantini) found out that we had been in Puglia, he spoiled us a bit with a special salad he prepared at breakfast.

The only negative was the street noise. The front of the hotel is on a busy street and there was some traffic noise most of the night. I assume there are quieter rooms toward the back.

The room was adequate, although it could stand a bit of updating. The main attraction with this hotel is the location and the personal attention of the staff. Several members of the staff speak very limited English, but that's no problem for us as Alisa speaks fluent Italian.

I would like to preface by clarifying that this is a 3-star hotel, and not part of a chain, with the attendant pros and cons. Within these parameters, this is an exceptional hotel, since it is family run and the decision-makers are right there and extremely, genuinely helpful and flexible. For example, we needed to change our guest numbers shortly before arrival in a very busy period of the year, and the owner simply accommodated our needs without any extra expense. We were a group of 8 people, ranging from 8 to 73 years old and yet all of us felt at ease and catered for. The personnel is very helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. The rooms are very clean, and even the cleaning lady was willing to adjust her schedule to meet our needs. Since the owner is also present daily, and doubles as a very competent chef in the evenings, we could negotiate a dinner at short notice, and on the day of departure, he let us have the various coffees and aperitifs from during our stay free of charge. To top it all off, the location is unbeatable for the city centre, one alley stroll away from the main piazza, and even closer to the cathedral. Breakfast is italian, both abundant and varied. Unusually, there is also a juicer with plenty of fruits to choose from; my children loved this touch! Compared to a previous visit, the internet was more temperamental, but could be accessed from all rooms. Also, there is no elevator, but the flight of stairs to the rooms is not too challenging. I am in love with this hotel, and will certainly consider it my base for future Turin trips.

Room Tip: No elevator so ask for 1st floor if stairs are challenging.

Beauty of this place is its location, hotel is central to the historical centre and close to many attractions in lovely Turin. The hotel we had booked mucked up our booking and Hotel Chelsea were very accommodating and helped us out of a bind. Friendly and courteous, the staff were fantastic. We also had a car and the hotel provided us with parking at an additional cost, virtually next door. Room was clean and tidy, a typical nice Italian room, however Wifi would have been a nice bonus if they'd had it.

What makes this hotel special is the wonderful service from the staff. They are very friendly and can't do enough to help.

We got a bottle of wine one evening and went up to the residents lounge to enjoy. The staff brought up the wine and some home made fococia and nibbles. A lovely touch, thank you.

Excellent location. Private parking.

Rooms modest and very clean. Continental breakfast with lots of choice.

Very Good Value & we look forward to returning someday.

We stayed at the hotel on 25 of may for 3 nights. The hotel located right in the center of the historical area which was perfect for us ,as the location was near all the major sights in torino.
We came with a car and since the hotel have parking it was very convinient.
The room was modest but served us well.Over all the most importent thing in our stay was the hotel stuff.Especially The couple who runs th hotel. They were very very kind and did the impossible to assist us .they were most welcoming and from this reason i will surly return to this hotel.
The resturand of the hotel was very good ,highly recomended !!
Overall the worm welcoming and the hospitality of stuff is remarkble !!!

Quaint, Cute, Charming & Spotless.

Facilities great (mini-bar at realistic prices, hairdrier, air-con, Internet, Guest Lounge) Very clean hotel. Staff most obliging and friendly. Central but very quiet at night.

I have never stayed in less than a 4 star & as fate would have it, with just arriving on speck, we couldn't get a vacancy in a 4 star in the area. I'm not a hotel snob, but I like my comfort and I got this and so much more in the Chelsea. It does not have a corporate bland feel to it and I sincerely hope that it never bows to pressure to do so. What a fantastic find. Do not be put off by the 3 star rating (or the neon sign) this is a classic hotel with a charming feel.

Excellent central location, but no noise.

Excellent work from Mario and his team. I just love this hotel!!

Room Tip: Stayed in room at back of hotel. Very quiet. Yet, this Hotel is very central.
