We stayed for three nights. Quiet. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the en-suite. The air-conditioning was very effective. There is a fridge in the room. Service was perfect. We would definitely stay here again...it helped make our visit to Turin so enjoyable.
Breakfast was very good, you can order a coffee in preference to the Americano.
The hotel is very well located, just at the Carducci stop on the Metro, 5 minutes on the train to the main station. There is a good takeaway pizza place, Aladin's, directly across the street. Plenty of cafés nearby.
Best restaurant: 'A Furchina, on Via Petrarca, near the Nizza metro stop. The food is delicious.
Torino Card : great value for 3 days' visit.

Went there based on the reviews here and the extremely low price, and was blown away. The service is absolutely astounding, extremely helpful without being intrusive. The location should not deter you, it's a 5 min subway ride right into the centre, and the station is right there, 30 seconds away. The room was nice and clean, internet and everything in working order. There is also a parking garage, but limited spaces so book it with the room. It's 10 euro/day. I still haven't gotten over how great the service was, and I usually don't get impressed by that. This is the best deal you'll get. I had a room at the back, so didn't really hear any street noise.

My husband booked this hotel as part of a driving trip through Italy. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, even though it was just for one night. The owner could have not been more polite and accommodating. The room was lovely with lots of extras that you don't expect from a 2* hotel. We parked our car in the hotels locked car park for a few extra euros. There was a good choice for breakfast. The Metro is literally 1 minute from the hotel. Tonight I am in a 4* hotel, which is far below the standards of Hotel Smeraldo. In my opinion they should charge more as they are worth it. Thank you.

We only stayed here for one night, but had such a great experience we tried to book two nights at the end of our vacation but they were full. This small family-operated hotel was perfect for us. The staff were so nice and helpful. The rooms are simple but very clean and our bathroom had recently been renovated. The breakfast was decent, very typical of Italy (cereal, yogurt, pastries, sliced meats, bread and assorted fruits). The location is great, there is a Metro station right out front and is only 4 stops until the center of the downtown district. Lingotto (home of the old FIAT factory) district is about 1/2 mile walk and has a fantastic Eataly store (food & wine plus restaurants) and a large shopping mall. The Po river is just a few blocks and the beautiful Valentino park - the pathway can take you downtown if you care for a nice stroll. The wifi was also good and reliable : )

It only takes you 7 minutes to get into town on the brand-new metro. This hotel is really all you need when visiting Torino with a family. The service is friendly. What I really appreciated was being able to park right outside the hotel (ca. EUR 10 per day). The breakfast (included in the price) was adequate, nothing special.

The hotel is also a 10 minute walk to the Lingotto (old Fiat factory) heading out of town.

This was our first visit to Torino...what a gem of a city ... overlooked by most tourists but perhaps for all the wrong reasons.

The staff was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was great, more than any other hostel hotel we stayed in. The rooms were very clean and the bed was great. The location was next to a Metro which made it easy to get around.
