“Expensive yet a must-see in Turin”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

It is true, this cafe is expensive. We paid over 11 euro for 2 coffees. Yet, the taste of this coffee was absolutely amazing. It's hard to find such a refined and flavorful coffee. Furthermore, it is worth seeing for its amazing retro interiors. Being there is like a journey in time!

“Seductive chocolate”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

We had read about the Baratti&Milano chocolates before arriving in Turin, so decided to check them out. The restaurant is a beautiful reminder of the elegance of cafes from a time before "fast food" outlets, and though we were there only to buy their chocolates, we appreciated the atmosphere of the place. We bought some gianduiotti sopraffini (hazelnut milk chocolate), and were definitely not disappointed.....truly, "melt in your mouth" seductiveness. If you visit Turin, stop by for some of these, or just for the experience.

“When Walking through the door, it's like walking back in time.”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

My wife had read about this caffé in an Italian magazine how wonderful it was, so we thought while we were in Turin we would take time and have a coffee here. Well it was worth doing as it was like stepping back in time it has to be seen to be believed. We ended up having lunch here toasted sandwiches, but with the canapés they served us with the drinks we could just have had them. The actual place was like something out of the twenty's. the décor and the way the waiters were dressed made it feel special. This place is a real must if you are visiting Turin, a little pricey but worth every penny. PS Not sure if it's open in the evenings.

“Step back in time”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

My husband and I neede a caffeine jolt in the afternoon, after much walking. This was just too beautiful to pass up. We each had a small dessert with tea for me and an espresso for him.
The ambiance is wonderfully old world. Not inexpensive at all, but worth the quiet break.
