It's located in the center of Turin and the building used to be the house of a family of Princes which then was briefly used as the House of Deputies. The museum has almost 30 rooms which go across the different moments of the modern Italian history until after the unification. If you like history you will value all the art, weapons, clothes, manuscripts shown in the different exhibition rooms. It even has the first written Italian hymn (Mameli). If you don't want to pay for the audio tour, in each room you have a set of paper boards with a description of the history in it. Very nice museum and it won't take too long to visit.

Anyone with an interest in Italian, and indeed European history must not miss this museum.
The most extensive and informative of all historical museums in Italy, and one of the most professional and serious in the entire world.
Very impressive, and excellent audio guide too. Two reservations: The films in the screening room have no English translation, and the shop has nothing in English.
Strongly recommended to come when you have time. Requires a good few hours to go through properly.

The House of Savoy has a long history in Turin before and well after the city became the first capital of a unified Italy in 1861. The story is so well laid out in videos in English or Italian interspersed throughout the National Museum of the Risorgimento that it is easy to overlook the art, artifacts and elegant first Chamber of Deputies. We enjoyed this museum and would recommend it if you have enough time in Turin.

as inside as outside. The building is of nice architecture. The museum is quite interesting, shows different moments of Italian history. On Sunday morning there was a market just in front of the building, also worth to have a look
