“Old atmosphere but surely one of best in Turin”

We went to this place by chance as the place we wanted was full but ended up as a good experience. The place is a little bit old fashion but the food was excelent , very competent staff and good wine list. We had a meal based on white truffles and the set cost for the 3 courses was 75€ which is very reasonable, the first course was a version of steack tartare made at the table with truffles, second pasta with truffles and last fried eggs with truffles. For desert I had my favorite Bunet very well made.

“Excellent!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

Finally a restaurant open 7 days a week offering high level and outstanding typical piedmont cousin. Do not miss it during your stay.
Excellent cousine (really).
Great service (one of the best I encounter in the city).
Great atmosphere overall: ideal for friends/family events and business meetings.
Do not miss the starter of salmon, the gnocchi and risotto with tartufi - divine.
I didn't find it expansive because if the concept of "pay what you get" is valid (and I think it is) it applies perfectly to this place.
Best restaurant in Torino......so far :)
Stay tune!

“Affordable excellence”

There is nothing to dislike. The place is run efficiently and with style. The food is to die for especially right now with truffles available at a reasonable price. A wine cellar at moderate prices adds to the pleasure of dining thereThe desserts are gorgeous as well.If youre in turin go to Piazza Solferino and book a table for the next day as whenever you go its liable to be full.

“Exquisite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

On my first night in Turin I came out of my hotel (the Golden Palace) looking for a place to eat, and thought ? turn left or right. I chose right. Got to the end of the road and had to make the same decision right again and found the 'Solferino'. It was a warm evening so we sat outside and had a delicious meal with wonderfully attentive waiters. It was obviously very popular as all tables were filled very quickly so we got the hotel to reserve us a table there the next night- it was just as good the second time.
The next couple of days we ate elsewhere, one lunchtime, one evening, but just okay so we booked again at Solferino for our last night and again had an excellent meal. To round off our visit to Torino we had lunch there on Saturday before flying home to the UK. They did spoil us (on the house)- but we had become regulars by this time! The menu changes a bit daily so you can never get tired of the choices. The waiters are very friendly and helpful- it was a delight to eat there. I highly recommend this place and also it is not expensive. Bottle of wine & water and two courses 65 euros.

“NIce and busy restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

We had a very good meal here. Service was very attentive. Nice and reasonably priced wine. Was totally full when we there and you should book to avoid being turned away. They made a nice risotto and everything we tried was good. A cut above the average. Good quality, though the tables could have a little more space between them.
