Description: Rossorubino is the son of passion. That passion that has led Andrew and Edward to focus on taste, quality and pleasure. Skills and different stories have come together in a single assembly: Rossorubino, space dedicated to wine. Since 2003, every year has become more the point of reference for wine lovers in the city of Turin. Place of meeting, sharing, discussion for those who make wine pleasure, hobby, passion. We identify with our motto: Wine moment please! A smile, a moment of relaxation and serenity, a pinch of optimism and hope for a better future: in short, a bit 'of joy, a toast for the party, a treat for yourself, a gift for conviviality. With the right moderation, with the quality at the expense of quantity, we always drink on, with joy, lightness and friendship. The secret to our success? We make our passion our business, without losing the enthusiasm of the first day. Rossorubino choice of good taste. Wrong?

“Good wine tasting but needs some tweaking”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Booked a wine tasting with this wine shop and agreed on 5 glasses of wine + ham and cheese platter + funghi porcini risotto + platter with typical piedmont delicacies for 70 Eur for 2 persons (price sound very reasonable). When we arrived staff was not very helpful and gave us the 1st two wine glasses (sparkling wines) each at once. When we finished these glasses they offered us the 3rd wine and we hadn't even started eating. Explanation on wines offered was lacking as staff didn't seem very interested in showing us. When we started our 4th wine the chef was worried since we ate very little and nearly drank all the wine. Basically, the problem lied in that 5 full glasses of wine were not even 125ml each and when i complained they said that they thought we ordered half glasses of wine. Food on the whole was very genuine and very good but due to the fact that there was not much explanation and glasses poured were very small i would not go again when in Turin.

“RossoRubino: fabulous wine bar and shop”
Reviewed September 16, 2009

RossoRubino (www.rossorubino.net) is a nice wine shop in a residential area of Turin, just a few minutes walk from the main train station Porta Nuova.

The front room displays several hundreds of different wines - dozens of different Campaigns and sparkling wines, simple and fancy reds and whites, a few liquors. There are wines from Italy, France, California, China, and more than a few bottles for which I could not identify the origin. There are also a few antipasto choices - marinated mushrooms, pate, olives.

But keep walking, through the front room, and into the back. There you will find a small bar and some tables. Order a glass of red, white or sparkling, and don't miss the "aperitivi" - small dishes to accompany the wine. Choose from several excellent bruschetta options, or get a tapas platter.

The atmosphere is pleasant, the owner is welcoming (and loves to talk wine - in Italian, Spanish and English), and the bartender knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
