Came here for a mid morning coffee and had a nice time here. It's a local landmark and establishment, you can't miss it.. Make sure you walk around inside

Like most other well located cafés, this one was very crowded so the wait was long both to take the order and then to pay. Also prices are pretty steep and the coffee was nothing special. It is all about the location, you can pretty much forget the rest.

Chocolate/Gianduia and crema crossaints were tasty, with crispy pastry, even if a bit more expensive than elsewhere nearby. Coffee was good, but was a bit cold.

Farmacia del Cambio is part of the Del Cambio restaurant, arguably the best restaurant in Turin. Located next door to the restaurant and across the street from Palazzo Carignano, it offers indoor and outdoor seating. We chose the latter, comfortably located under large umbrellas. Service was prompt, polite, efficient and professional. the wines by the glass were a cut above what we had received at other bars in town. Several plates of snacks accompanied our drinks, certainly more than we had planned for. The view of the piazza around sunset is great, with lots of people, locals and visitors alike, walking by at a leisurely pace, heading towards dinner somewhere. When out time to enter Del Cambio arrived, our waiter led us himself inside the restaurant and facilitated the transition by adding our drinks to our restaurant bill. Classy place!

OK. Sipping a glass in front of the first baroque civic building making use of the undulating 'concave – convex – concave' rhythm established by Francesco Borromini in the church of S. Carlo alle Quattro Fontane in Rome might be impressive. But the EUR 12.00 glass of GRIGNOLINO D’ASTI wine was DECEIVING.
A tourist trap (again).
Next time: a Heineken!
When you contrast the crumbling trams with this lack of business ethic it becomes clear why the country is like it is: it seems there is NO COMPETITION and that these abuses go unchecked.
