This Eataly was right next to our hotel and we appreciated that the supermarket items were cheaper and fresher than what the Eataly in NY's Flatiron District. Of course, this was expected since the items were more 'local'.
We also had dinner here several times but this time I would say I prefer the New York version of service. Perhaps it is that Italy staff are not expecting tips while the US staff depend on it. It was amazing how the Turin staff avoided our eyes for a full half hour while we were waiting for a table to open. When we were seated, cutlery and napkins were literally 'thrown' at the table. We should have been insulted but we found it almost humorous.
The food is of course, equally good quality. Large market area but the restaurant is divided in different seating areas.
