The white truffle season had just started when we visited and I had the meal of my life with an excellent spaghetti with white truffles accompanied with a young nebbiolo. Our host was really accommodating and provided an excellent taster of the entire antipasto selection. The onions baked in salt and stuffed mushrooms were delectable. We wanted to try the ravioli stuffed with donkey (an echo of a long competition between Asti and Alba) but we only had two stomachs between us and so much of the menu went untested. This restaurant talks about itself as a 'little family restaurant'. However the quality of the food and the cellar demonstrate that this is a massive understatement. I am so happy that places like this exist and wish that there were more who were as passionate about good food. And by the way, they have an excellent website on which you can see the daily menu and make reservations.
