While on a business trip my host insisted that I overnight in Pavia just for the privilege of eating at this restaurant. It was worth the effort in every respect. Chef Dimo and Maria, his wife, serve authentic Italian cuisine with enthusiasm. When it comes to good food and fine wine, language is no barrier. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The polenta and ricotta gnocchi with fried bacon and butter was probably the best gnocchi dish I've ever eaten. Everyone similarly raved about their meals. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, making for a memorable evening.
