Dined here with friends last evening. My friends had been here several times before and indicated that the ladies that run the place like things a certain way. We ordered two vegetarian options to try as appetizers and then each ordered a primi. The mille foglie of zucchini was average, but the pumpkin flan was really nice. The duck and curry were also very good. The pumpkin ravioli was okay. One dish we ordered, a pasta bundle of beef, just wasn't right. If it had been my dish I wouldn't have been able to eat it. We each had dessert, and based on our cleared plates, they must have been good. It did, however, take too long for a server to come back to take our dessert order. With one bottle of wine and the above mentioned food, dinner was close to €200 for our party of 4. Seemed a tad high based on other local options. Decor is a bit heavy on the plaid, but quaint I suppose.

Cutlets in breadcrumbs, in Milano region, are named "elephant ears". Here they are BIG as an elephant!!!!!!! Impossible to finish! Please order one for two!!!!!
Excellent traditional Lombard food! With all the palette: from "risotto" to soup, mushrooms, truffles, polenta, gnocchi....... all very good!
Excellent wine!
Very nice ambiance, old farm house with classy and rustic furniture. Only very very very crowded...

This restaurant was highly recommended to us, so we took a taxi all the way to 'the country', where the restaurant is located. The place is in a lovely country setting and the restaurant itself is actually like a big house (we figured the owners live there). The service is good and the place was packed.
The only disappointment was actually the food itself... - it wasn't bad, but it was nothing special either... We had a number of dishes and they were all very simply cooked and not very inspiring. I know it's supposed to be simple country food, but in Italy, I had better meals in gas stations (really!).

Cucina Milanese. Good cotoletta (here is made out of pork meat) signature dish. I recommend you get one for two persons or even 3 if you have had some antipasti.
You need to book with anticipation in order to get a nice table. The place is very romantic and beautifully decorated. There's a piano player singing all the Italian classical songs. Superb atmosphere, good Milanese food, standard service depending the day and the amount of people. Been there many many times, usually when someone comes to visit I take them to Al Garghet nada good impression is assured.
Good selection of wines. You are taken care by one of the 3 owners usually.
A bit pricy, for special occasions.
Try the fiori di zucchini ripieni and polenta al formaggio.
